I guess he doesn't need more than one hard drive anyway. lol My case is already like that with the 295 so I doubt this would fit.

reminds me of the voodoo5 6000 days. That card was just as long but with 4 gpus. It never made it to market because it was slow and missing alot of features and 3dfx was dying.
Wonder if anyone is crazy enough to put two of those for 4-way xfire! Could break some benchmark records!

From what I know, the HD 5870X2 was supposed to come out in october, but they probably won't make it. Looks more like second/third week of november. My guess is, that they are using all Cypress-chips they got on HD 5870, instead of putting two of them on a HD 5870X2. Related would be the fact that if there aren't a lot of Cypress-chips, they can't really do a solid launch with the HD 5870X2, so perhaps they are stocking up on them first.

Yea I saw this:
"It's clear that ATI is preparing the Radeon 5900 series to match NVIDIA's upcoming Fermi release. It 'could' be the 5870 X2 being positioned under this device ID, but in some drivers these entries already can be found:
"ATI Radeon HD 5900 Series" = ati2mtag_Evergreen, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_689C
"ATI Radeon HD 5900 Series " = ati2mtag_Evergreen, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_689D" source
but it doesn't make sense, unless it's not gonna surface until single 5890's would. Multiple counters for Fermi?

You've got a Core i7 with X58 and a GTX 295 and you won't shell out extra cash for a case with enough room for your video cards and several hard drives?
