$59.30 AR for a Maxtor 120gb, 2MBcache in Best Buy, YMMV

Went to my local Best Buy(frisco, texas). They have a table in the middle-25%off anything on the table. They have a Maxtor 120gb, 2mb cache ( one of those 100 gb HD with an extra 20gb ) for 109.99.Plus a $30.00 rebate.

So $109.99-25% off= $82.49 + tax = $89.30 - $30.00 rebate = $59.30.

Hot or warm deal= Your call.

Also they have some Audigy 2 retail for $129.99 - 25% off. They also have some Radeon 8500 and 7000 AIW.

BestBuy has the 8MB version for $80 AR. Supposedly there is another $20 rebate if you buy it in-store, which would make it the same price as this 2MB version.

Well I looked around and didnt see any of those 8mb. There were 2 left after i grabbed this one. I'll try again tomorrow.

Not sure about the rebates on this deal. I am actually referring to the 8MB version and not the 2MB. Their website shows a $60 rebate from Maxtor and another $20 Best Buy rebate. These are listed where the drive is advertised. When you click on the $20 rebate link it pulls up a $10 rebate for a 40GB model. When you go to their rebate center they list three rebates, one of which is good in-store only which was supposed to be for $20 also, but it also pulls up a $10 in-store for the 40GB model. Anyone out there bought this?
If you have, what were the rebates that printed out. Looks like it may just be an error on their website and I think all three would be valid if purchased in-store so this would be $60 after 3 rebates as an earlier poster stated. I would definitely go for the 8MB cache model. Maxtor used to give 3 years warranty on these but have reduced it to one. I already own one of these, have had no problems other than initially it was a little noisy but has quietened down. If someone were interested in this deal I wouldn't be too concerned about the rebates. Best Buy always sends out their rebate checks fairly quickly and Maxtor, although a little slow, has always come through with mine anyway.

I picked one of these (8mb models) up in store and two rebates printed at the register: one $60 and one $20 along with two rebate receipts.
