I appreciate your recommendation. But when it comes to dvds with the latest copy protections released by Disney Paramount and Warner, freeware and common dvd ripper software crash r' work out of order. This utility gets the jobs done, no fuss no muss. My last free giveaway copy was version 7.5.7, so it's always worth updating for me and may be other PC users in AnandTech.

I had the free version for about a year and went out and bought it about 9 months ago. Three clicks and 10 minutes later my movie backed up to full dvd and ready to watch with Media Browser.

What I have used for a few years now. It has ripped new movies like Transformers 4 and all my kids PIxar/Disney movies. I rip several DVD's to iso's, which is fast. Then let Handbrake work through the conversion queue over night.

DVDfab works perfect and rips both dvd's and blu-ray movies including all the new movie encryption and out of order stuff and gets around the new 100-1000 dummy file vob system they just came out with to try to stop people from backing up there movies and its free!! why spend $59.95 when you can do the same thing for nothing??
