The supersizeme guy knew that it wasn't a healthy diet, he just did it to see what would happen and prove the point. None of the three doctors he had examine him, before, during and after had any inkling of the damage it would do to his liver.

He wasn't a vegan - that was his girlfirend, though she did put him on a vegan detox diet afterwards

Try renting the dvd - there's a lot of interesting stuff in it - like how McD's are pushing into schools (and hospitals!) etc, hooking kids like the tabacco companies used to do with their candy cigarettes.

To be fair, he made a good point on that part. However, gorging yourself on 3 meals a day while limiting your physical activity to near zero to prove that its unhealthy is pointless. I could easily do the same thing on a vegan diet.

yea.. i second that.. when i was 22-23 i ate fast food everyday... and stuffed myself
I also worked out 5 days a week and was on a soccer team that played games once a week(sometimes twice). I lost more weight and was in much better shape then when i did eat healthier during college. :Q

About half the people in this thread would disagree with you. If you KNOW that a "hot" deal is NOT a "hot" deal then you should be able to express yourself. This is not threadcrapping it's the truth.

Where have you been the last number of years. It is a well known fact that fast food (aka McDonalds) is unhealthy to eat. Forget about Supersize Me just go down to the local hospital and sit down for a while. I've seen my share of death and anyone who takes advantage of this "hot" deal is just asking for it.

Why is over half of the adult population of this country calssified as OBESE? Well, let's see ...duh!

That's great! Did you also consider that you just consumed about 50 grams of fat in one "meal"?

The bottom line is that whatever you do (aka eat crap and wonder why you die prematurely) affects all the rest of us in higher insurance premiums and medicare costs.
