Haha, that's funny. I suppose you don't use their salad dressings? LOL

So, you're a not the food police... you're a food nazi! Thank you Mother Teresa for telling everyone what is good and bad for them.

You ARE threadcrapping. If the deal doesn't interest you then move along. If this was Off Topic then it would be appropriate for you to say whatever is on your mind no matter how well received it would be. This is the HOT DEALS forum, where value is based on price for said product or service, not whether you like the product. If you don't like the motherboard you simply don't like the motherboard. Nobody cares if you like the motherboard or not. In the hot deals forum members post deals that they run across that they believe that others might find of value. If the price is good for you then thank the original poster for informing you of the deal. If not then let it go. Or start a thread in Off Topic on why people shouldn't eat fast food, wear fur, get an abortion, drive while talking on their cell phone, or chew gum while walking. If you have a cause-celeb post it there.

Super hot deal. Fine dining with the wife for our anniversary tonight! With these prices, we'll each get two. And we'll top that off with a water. We'll even make it special with some ice in the beverage. Maybe afterwards we'll swing by artic circle and split one of their 39 cent ice cream cones.

Like every other nut out there, your statements are meaningless because you go to the extreme. Eating nothing but McDonalds for a month and the guy in Supersize Me nearly dropped dead? Wow, what a surprise. Like every other indulgence in life, there's nothing wrong with McDonalds every now and then.

Get a life.

Yeah, as far as pounds/dollar, the double cheese action is right up there with Taco Bell.

And for those of you bitching, give it up already. There's this little notion called 'everything in moderation'. A bit of McDonald's every now and then isn't going to kill you. And some people actually enjoy the taste when its eaten on an infrequent basis (no, it doesn't compare to a 'good' burger, but it does the trick for a quick lunchtime stop at a reasonable price).

About half the people in this thread would disagree with you. If you KNOW that a "hot" deal is NOT a "hot" deal then you should be able to express yourself. This is not threadcrapping it's the truth.

Where have you been the last number of years. It is a well known fact that fast food (aka McDonalds) is unhealthy to eat. Forget about Supersize Me just go down to the local hospital and sit down for a while. I've seen my share of death and anyone who takes advantage of this "hot" deal is just asking for it.

Why is over half of the adult population of this country calssified as OBESE? Well, let's see ...duh!

had some today. 2 hambergers @ 49 cents and 2 cheesburgers @ 59 cents.

That's great! Did you also consider that you just consumed about 50 grams of fat in one "meal"?

The bottom line is that whatever you do (aka eat crap and wonder why you die prematurely) affects all the rest of us in higher insurance premiums and medicare costs.

Actually, people are obese because they do not limit themselves to appropriate quantities of any given food. It has very little to do with the actual foods they eat, as any balanced diet allows for fat intake, but the key is to keep it balanced and watch quantities of the 'bad' stuff.

And for the record, the deal is hot. You show me where else you can get a full meal for under $2.00 without preparing it yourself and I'll believe you that it isn't hot.

A point of order that I was thinking about. If you were looking to buy a part for your computer and looked on ATHD and found one. You would want to know if it is a good deal. Is the item of value. People then put up posts that either confirm or deny the 'hotness' of the deal or the value of said item. You would then know in your own Reward vs. Risk analysis if the item was for you. The same goes for food deals. Telling you that said food item is bad for you and that eating too much of it will lead to your demise is what this community is all about. You wouldn't buy a 'hot' deal heatsink that several members on here tell you will stop working after 3 months and kill your cpu. So why would you put crap into your body that will kill it sooner that it should?

The difference is that, with a particular computer part, opinions help shed light on something that may be unknown to forum members. Indeed, most often posts on a particular product focus on facts (i.e., clock speed or amount of video RAM), or a user's personal experience, which a reader would not otherwise be privy to. Thus, the information is helpful in accessing a deal and deciding whether to make a purchase.

The people posting that McDonalds is bad for you or that obesity is a problem are not providing information that is helpful because it is already widely known. Rather, these morons are imposing their beliefs on people, which is wrong. More importantly, such posts are inappropriate in this forum.

Why on earth do you think Supersize Me had anything to do with McDonalds? The attention-whore asshole doing the movie quadrupled his caloric intake and intentionally stopped exercising entirely. Hate to break this to you, but if you overeat and underexercise you're going to get fat whether the calories come from Big Macs and fries or tofu and bean sprouts.

For dud:

You have me confused with someone who eats at McDonald's. I simply called you a THREADCRAPPER. I think you should find something better to do than wasting your time being the resident FOOD NAZI. You are violating the forum rules in bashing a product you do not like.

If someone wants to eat McDonald's three times a day and then film a documentary about how they got sick due to overeating and inactivity I will defend their right to do that. Of course, I will expose their hypocracy when their observations are biased and predetermined. Personally, I do not eat at McDonalds, because I do not like their food. If I want a burger and fries then I have places that taste better to me. It's all about moderation and activity. Regardless of that, it is up to an individual to make their OWN choices. The HOT DEALS forums is not the place for you to preach the benefits of health food, but you should feel free to post hot deals on alfalfa sprouts and tofu twists. I will be looking forward to them.

I see dozens of people everyday smoking their lungs black. I'm sure some of you complaining about the unhealthiness of mcdonalds smoke often. No ammount of exercise is going to fix your corrupted lungs. Yet, I hear no one complaining of this?

eh people get too excited about stuff. I actually liked Supersize Me, I took it for what it was (basically a Michael Moore-ish attack on McDonalds). I like McDonalds just as much as the next guy, but it comes as no surprise that eating ground up cow rectums slapped on some greasy bread (mmmmmmmmm, rectum! cue Homer Simspon gargle) isn't good for you. By the way I made the cow rectum thing up, have no idea whats in the meat, but it tastes good even if it is rectum! or even if its testicle scraps! Good deal, thx for posting hope it shows up in my area.

As much as I dig the occasional burger at MDs, I wouldn't go so far as to call the meat good tasting. Rather, it is a combination of the whole burger that can be a decent quick meal. Any individual component is rather bland/almost nasty, but somehow the whole thing, albeit a somewhat liquidy concoction is pretty decent.
