And in the same spirit, every time somebody posts a thread on a cheap P4, I will insert a barrage of "Intel Sux, AMD Rulz" posts, because that is obviously more important that the actual deal itself.

Oh, and I will have to say "AMD Sux" on all Athlon/Sempron hot deal threads. Ditto for nVidia/ATI.

Or maybe I should just post messages saying that all technology sucks because manufacturing computers pollutes the environment, running them uses electricity which increases CO2 emissions, and how the RF fields are going to give all of us lukemia. How fun would it be if I put a barrage of posts like that on every computer deal?

Fact: people KNOW that too much fast food is bad for you.
Fact: the original post was about getting something at a significant discount.

Who are these idiots telling people how to live?? Isn't there some other forum where, maybe, just maybe, someone might actually care about your opinion?

Like every other nut out there, your statements are meaningless because you go to the extreme. Eating nothing but McDonalds for a month and the guy in Supersize Me nearly dropped dead? Wow, what a surprise. Like every other indulgence in life, there's nothing wrong with McDonalds every now and then.

Get a life.

Says the fat guy.

Wow, that didn't take long. I expected a little a little better from a "senior member" of this forum. Hell, I don't even believe in what you're trying to say but I could have at least cobbled together a coherent response about 2/3 of the country having a BMI (Body-Mass Index) over 25 (clinically overwieght) and half of those people having a BMI over 30 (obese). Or you could have talked about unethical marketing to children or McDonald's dubious use of ingredients (did you know there is more sodium in a McDonald's shake than in their french fries? or that their Preimum Selects Chicken Strips are no healthier than their Chicken McNuggets?).

At the very least, you could have provided a link to the nutritional information for McDonald's products. But nevermind, here it is. You are obviously too busy telling other people how to live to take the time to actually provide useful information to anyone. By the way, my BMI is 26.2, so I could stand to lose a few pounds. But fat? Maybe in a few years.

I do feel bad for calling you an idiot. Clearly the idiots of the world deserve better.

I typically don't see posts like this on the Hot Deals forum so I'm kind of surprised. Most of the posts in this section are helpful and each reply is intended to draw upon the information held by each subscriber to give us all a better understanding of a specific product or service being highlighted as a hot deal.

But since the fast food deals ALWAYS end up like this, and since I've never chimed in I figure I might as well say something.

I think the ultimate problem is that you always have people who think that the item up for consideration is undesireable. I don't think however, that it is necessary to chime in how much that you don't like that item. The OP was not asking you how much fat was in a cheeseburger or if they taste good. A McD's CB is not comparable to electronics in which negative feedback may prove helpful. I doubt anyone reading this post has never had one themself and is thinking, gee I wish someone would post a reply as to what these taste like and while they are at it maybe they could tell me how unhealthy they are!! For anyone who feels the need to rebel against the evil McD Corp this is not the place to do it. This post was intended for people who like the food, like saving money on that food, and want to eat it. Go post in off topic about how evil McDonalds is, at least that way you're posting in the right forum.

Dear Fatty,

Who is telling who how to live? I'm an idiot and a jerk for merely suggesting people watch the movie Super Size Me before they go destroy there bodies? I get McDonalds every once and while, but at least i know its bad for me. Eat, Smoke, Drink and be merry. And may every minute of the day be 4:20 for you and your f477tness. As for attacking me enjoy that too, like you enjoy snacking on Twinkies while surfing the foodnetwork website. Oh and that Wendy's Mozzarella Chicken sandwich kicks azz you should pick up a dozen on the way home from fat camp.

Yours truly,

Vic

Cheers

I eat fast food often *not MCD's though* why? because when I cook for myself, it's probably more unhealthy then fast food. I find eating out to be cheaper, and easier so why not do it? All thought I have no problem cooking up some 3/4lb bacon cheese burgers. I appericate seeing a hot deal on AT that's not related to a video card, memory, cpu or something that ain't gonna fill up my belly.

I'm not a fan of MCD's, but a cheese burger from there will sure taste better then an Athlon 64 burger.

Supersize Me.

Haha, in Korea they did the same thing, where a guy ate nothing but McDonalds for 30 days but I believe instead of soda he drank green tea. Guess what? He got healthier.... so its either green tea works miracles, or the Big Macs in Korea are better lol

Yes, let's promote the unhealthiness of eating Mcdonalds, while inviting people to smoke and drink. That's much healthier.

i really hope a mod comes by soon....

vicious, i hope you banned. there is no reason to personally attack another poster for his viewpoint.

why insult someone you dont even know?

and yes he did respond, but you started it and he responded in a much more civil and intelligent manner than "Dear fartty.... way back from fatty camp"
