It's just a symptom of a much bigger issue. When we can't call something for what it is then there is a huge problem. The Islamic terrorists are targeting Christian People. Not Easter worshippers.

Is there a person on this planet who doesn't know that "Easter worshippers" are Christian? If so, who would that person be? A tribe in the Amazonian rain forest? I'm genuinely curious who you think is mislead by this description you think is so terrible.

Sure, if we could get rid of guns then there'd be fewer gun deaths, that stands to reason. But, we don't simply do away with rights because they carry danger. Take smoking for instance, second hand smoke kills far more innocent people than firearm homicides, it isn't even close. But, we don't totally ban smoking, we allow it despite the risk to society it carries because in America we cherish freedom and individual liberties. If having too many rights scares you might I recommend a country like North Korea as more fitting, perhaps?

I see your bet and raise you a box of my Winny 7mm shorty mags.

Might I offer up a rejoinder if you please. The point I was trying to make was that by stirring up emotions in a political way about gun deaths, it threatens my right to bear arms in the sense that a reaction to it may very well be what we gun owners fear the most: losing them to an over-reactive response.

Better to let the beast lay than to poke it with a hot branding iron, yes?

edit - Better yet, let's push for laws that strive to keep the bad guys from having them while making us responsible gun owners even more responsible (liable) for having them.

42,000 people died in traffic accidents in 2001. IDK why we were freaking out about terrorism.

Don't even get me started on the scourge of secondhand smoke..
We add safety features to cars to decrease traffic deaths. We have speed limits. We have driver's education to try to teach people to drive better. We have ticketing for reckless driving, speeding, DUI. We actively try to decrease and prevent traffic deaths.

Most major cities are banning smoking inside public buildings. Even bars in a lot of cities. We educate on the dangers of secondhand smoke. We actively try to prevent deaths due to secondhand smoke.

So what's wrong with us also trying to prevent deaths due to terrorism?

MoronSpyder freaks out about Chicago, but studies have shown over 70% of guns used in crimes in Chicago were acquired in surrounding areas that have much looser gun laws. We should try to address that.

Honestly, everything about this thread, and every thread started by racist troll shitbag spyder, is moronic and never going to go anywhere.

The likelihood of dying by terror is greatly over exaggerated. But, the sight of the 9/11 attacks are also burned into the minds of many Americans still.

There was a very subtle /s in there.

Obviously these things are a problem and need to be addressed.
Some trolls here like to argue that we can only focus on one problem at a time, so don't do anything about guns when there are smoking deaths, or anything about right wing terror groups when there are Muslims doing terrorism, or gangland warfare tearing up some neighborhoods.

Call it trolling all you want, it is no doubt a serious issue in the black community.

If you gave two shits about them as humans, you wouldn't simply address everything as "HUR DUR, HE BE TROLLIN'"

Just because you disagree with it doesn't mean it isn't a fact broceritops.

You guys do the same with shit you deem as conservative issues, yet you don't see any of us sane people on the right just replying with useless blabbering "DUR HASHTAG I'M A RETARDED LIBERAL CUCK!"
Why is the entire "black community" responsible for the actions of a few individuals? Do we blame the "white community" every time a white-on-white crime occurs?

Every time I see a thread about Illinois it makes me feel so disappointed in this State. It serves as an example to other States of what not to do and what can happen when one political party is in power for to long without any checks and balances.
I live in a Democratic party-controlled state. We have a prosperous economy with low unemployment and a very low crime. There are numerous other blue states that are similar, as well as many red states.
Your correlation does not appear to be the causation.

Because you and vic routinely don't make points anymore, you just make troll posts. The rest of us are trying to have a conversation.
Lol. Your sheep bleatings are intentional distractions, not conversation. To have a conversation, you must present a problem AND propose a possible solution.

I didn't say Trump was a shining example. I'm saying that is what urban minority communities need to embrace. The vast majority of guns in this country (some 300 million) are never used for violence, mine included. I do enjoy putting a lot of holes in paper with them, though. Guns are objects, they are not violent in nature, no more than an ax, screw driver, or a knife is violent. It is all about the person holding the tool, not the tool.

And the vast majority of cities in this country are pretty safe.

You aren't very good at logic which explains why you use your feels alot.

It is clearly the Democrats' fault that Trump's new sanctions on Iran will lead to $4/gal gas this summer. Why are those commies always interfering with the free markets!

A thing can be a fact and then deployed as a strawman at the same time.

This is where education of the one presenting the argument really comes into play. Many see through the obvious bullshit that is intended by the uneducated turnip that has displayed nothing beyond a profound inability to present a logical argument.

It's just like anything else... Here it's safe. Here it is okay. Here it i--- OH MY GOD GET THE FUCK OUT NOW!

Similar to when I've been in Brazil. Take one wrong turn and you're going into a favela and are about to be robbed at gunpoint.

Were you actually robbed at gunpoint?

I have not. Helps to have family (in-laws) that know where the fuck not to go.

Of course, since my in-laws live there all the time, they themselves have had a few instances. One was recent - they were pulled over/surrounded and robbed of their car and belongings with aks pointed at them.
