Hello all, I have a problem with the +5VSB lilne in my computer being very low. I have a Gigabyte 7NNXP mobo with the DPS (dual power system). I had the DPS in it and decided to take it out just now thinking that it might help it out, That actually made it worse....now it stays at a constant 2.63V as opposed to it constantly changing between a high 2V and a medium 4V when I had the DPS installed.
I bought a new power supply last week...before I had an Enermax 350watt and now I have an Enermax Noiestaker 470watt that has 2.2A on the +5VSB line. (.2A more than my previous one). I wouldn't be worried about it, but I just thought of it as possibly being the problem as to why sometimes it won't start up if I turn it off. In order for me to turn it back on, I have to reset the CMOS. Also, if I decide to put my computer on standby, right before it is getting ready to go on it, the hard drives will make this loud click before they turn off.
I've also checked for bulging caps on the mobo and found none. I didn't think there would be because I just bought this board back in June. I don't remember if it did this when I first got it because I hardly ever turn my computer off. The first time that I recall doing it is when my power went out when I was on vacation. My UPS had kicked on, but the power was out for about two hours and the computer had just cut off. So, does anyone have any ideas as to what might be the problem with this? Thanks for the help.
