I'm out $200. Is there anyway I can still get the rebates so I will only be out $40 instead?

File a claim either (a) where you ordered it or (b) with FedEx. I'm guessing you didn't sign for it & FedEx left it there? That's happened to me before & why I ask FedEx to require a signature. I live in a heavily populated area with a lot of foot traffic & packages tend to 'walk' if they're left on the front step without a signature.

Anyways, my $.02, hope it helps.

I just received my order from PCSuperStore/CostCentral, and got 8-chip Micron D9HNL as well. Has anyone actually gotten something else lately?

I got my replacement stick yesterday. Stuck it in with the other three and got all 4 going at OP's ram settings and 1.8v 400mhz. Lovin' it.

My ECS Geforce6100SM-M motherboard doesn't allow memory voltage adjustment. 388Mhz*2=776Mhz seems pretty good for stock voltage though.

Will this stuff work with a P35 chipset motherboard and an e2160? How about overclocking that combo?

Works fine up to four sticks. You should be able to overclock RAM to 400MHz with 2.0Vdimm and 5-5-5-15-2T timing (about 3.6GHz with a GOOD E2160).

Serpent, were you able to get any farther than 400MHz in a 4x1 configuration? Thinking about moving up to 4GB but I'm not sure if this is the way to go or to get another matching pair of Ballistix. This is certainly the cheaper route though.

So it says this is "product specific". Will it only work with HP computers or will it work with any computer?

Ordered 2, got the pkg today, got a packing slip that says I ordered 2, however there's only one stick in the entire box. Went through the packaging about 17 times just to make sure. Am I just hosed? Or are resellers pretty understanding about this?

I order A LOT of stuff online and this has NEVER happened to me. Anyone have any advice?
thx
jm

*EDIT* if anyone cares, I called them up and just got a msg back saying they're gonna ship me another unit : )

Ordered 4 from CostCentral and they were at my door within 2 days. Super fast shipping. Now as long as the rebate shows I will be golden.

My box says they are part # PX976AT. Are these the same that everyone else is getting? My guess is that they are similar and are going to be great for the price once that rebate shows

Are these still chips people like? I want to try to overclock an E2160 a tiny bit with these 4 chips in the machine, but am not looking for huge leaps.

This thread seems like it is a great chip

I think I might have signed a letter a long time ago indicating that it was okay for FedEx to leave packages without a signature so I'm probably screwed. I've never had a problem in the past. I think it was just incredibly unlucky for me in that the package was delayed for 2 days (for some strange reason they had it in their truck for 2 days but a "delivery exception" happened and was not delivered -- according to their website) and that when it was finally delivered, one of my neighbors had some maintenance workers working on their house who probably saw an opportunity and took it.

Are all the UPC's and boxes identical for the ram chips? I'm thinking of gambling and ordering one more chip for $50. Then make a scan of the UPC and try getting back $160 so I'm only out $40.

Crucial D9 will work fine with that board.

I'm probably gonna go for some of this. CostCentral is 9.99 with free shipping after a 40.00 rebate. BUT, have any of you guys noticed that the rebate requires
Fill out the rebate claim form and send it (via first-class mail with delivery confirmation)

From my limited amount of research, that's an additional 75 cents. Just didn't want anybody to get caught with their pants down.

That is not a requirement of the rebate, that is a general guideline posted by CostCentral. The terms you must follow are on the actual pdf rebate form. Just like the rebate form states:

To qualify for your rebate(s) you must include original or photocopied UPC barcode label
for each qualifying product.

The CostCentral guideline states:

Cut out the proof-of-purchase bar code from the product box
