IMO, since ATI isn't letting end users experiment with Crossfire's rendering modes and create custom profiles they need to list which games have been profiled and added to their driver suite for each monthly release.

That can't do that because unlike the competition, ATI's dual card set up doesn't need special programming on a per game basis, it works with all games right out of the box.

Hmm... Drivers were working great for about 1/2 hour or 45 minutes of Q4, then crazy artifacting started showing up all over the place. Reverted to the CD drivers, same thing after about 1/2 hour... so the drivers are OK, but it looks like I have a bad 1900 Back to Newegg it goes... Good thing I haven't sold my X850 yet.

True, but unlike the competition, you are stuck with whatever rendering mode Crossfire gives you.
AFR is the best performing, but many games are limited to scissor and supertiling rendering. Scissor mode and supertiling modes take up to a 30% performance hit compared to AFR.
I still like the flexibility of SLI, plus with nHancer, you can force SLI in games that are not supported through the official profiles.
