but you also have to consider the definition of hot deal. If you are looking for quality speakers (MB Quarts come to mind) at a better than average price, these are not for you and this isn't a hot deal at all. If you back speakers just went out and want something cheap, then this is a good deal.

Yes, but are they HOT?

Usually not to most people. Probably yes to someone that is looking to have that particular item at a good price.

The really HOT deal to everyone usually involves some pricematching or multiple rebates and only a very few lucky minority are getting it. On the other hand, Joker's deal are always available and you have higher chance of getting it. That says a lot.

There's a reason you don't see Bose in high priced aftermarket custom audio setups, and a reason why you don't see Bose "systems" competing in SPL competitions, or why you won't see it in IASCA or any competition based off SQ. The only thing Bose is BEST AT is marketing to consumers who know nothing about audio.

Well you obviously aren't a true audiophile if you don't use Bose in your SQ competitions. The reason why all those people LOSE the soundoffs is because they fail to integrate high quality Bose components into their vehicles. For instance, those idiots who put those high-end JL drivers in simple ported boxes...stuuuuupid.... everyone knows that the Bose 6" paper-cone woofers in a 6th-order PATENTED bandpass enclosure is FAR superior to the 4th order rolloff of the tuned port. 6th order is 50% better than 4th order...that's why it's 6th order. Everybody on ATHD knows about Bose - if you think you have golden ears, well maybe you should compare Bose to such low-end brands as B&W, Paradigm, Snell, etc. Bose will win hands-down. Just because you can't afford a quality Bose setup with 3" special-paper cones that crossover at an astounding 150Hz doesn't mean you should diss them. C'mon, man.

All i was saying is that the quality of these speakers were low? hence the low price. For those looking for quality need not apply here. I never said it was a bad deal??? this is the funniest thing I have seen, not to beat a dead horse...but about 5 years ago I had some mb quarts in my car, and they sounded pretty good to me (incidently bose sounds good to me also, and I really like my paradigm subwoofer). I then sold them and got out of the whole car audio thing (i.e.-I graduated from high school and realized food was more important) but I remember seeing in car audio mags that mb quarts were in alot of installations and I really liked the sound of mine. And I have never seen bose aftermarket speakers for car audio (of course I haven't looked either).

for 12.99 they are a good alternative to going all out or replacing stock...since these take anywhere from 2-60watts rms...but morel ike 20 rms

profile stuff aren't that high in quality...in my opinion.
great for stock replacement if you have dead speakers

Bose = TEH SUCK. I'm not an audio expert. But Bose ranks nowhere close to the top in Car audio, not even in Home Audio.

Mb Quarts has far better sounding speakers. I'd even take the high end Infinity over Bose. Oh and the older (99-2002) Polk DX series own Bose all day. People who buy Bose typically don't do much research, and want to impress people with a brand name. Those 6.5" Bose speakers, will go perfectly with a Sony Xplode deck. OH! and make sure you run some 300 dollar Monster Competition grade wiring from your Sony deck to your Bose speakers *chuckle*

Bose isn't bad, but for what they cost, you could do a hellova lot better.

these paper and foam speakers are your stock speakers.... unless you own a luxury vehicle. if you are stranded for cash, then by all means, this is the best option to replace the dead stock speakers, any speakers may sound better than dead one or blown ones (with that lil crackling noise)
