Playo 60/Pack 4.7GB DVD+R, Spindle
SKU: 658878

Playo 60/Pack 4.7GB DVD-R, Spindle
SKU: 658879

Get 60 disk spindles of either flavor (+/- R) for $26.98 - $22.00 MIR = $4.98. Limit of 10 rebates per household.

Go here for the rebate form, and search for rebate number, 07-71371.

Since posting coupon links is now allowed, you may be able to use this OM $10 off $25 or $20 off $50 coupon to come out a couple of bucks ahead on one or two spindles. I can't speak for the quality, but at the price, it's a cheap science project.

Thanks. The complete url isn't shown on the page, but you can search for it by the rebate number. I fixed the OP.

As I said, if you can use the coupon, it's a cheap science project to see if they work.

I bought them when they used the +r code aml002. Worked great in my benq 1655 and I think worked at least fairly well in my nec 3550. Over a year ago and the data seems to still be there. cd speed still looked good too. Thanks for the review above. I would say I had similar results but I'm also leary as the review commentors were also. I find myself not rushing out to get these even though I like staples and their rebates. I sill have 70 or 80 but more importantly I don't like the value. $15 with a $10 rebate maybe. I bought mine for @$8 no rebate. I'd do that again but I have had a few failures to burn and if your drive don't like these media it "REALLY" don't like them. Older drives seem to really hate these things.

Think it's fake MCC. I bought some of these last Black Friday. The burns are okay, but not as nice I would expect MCC to be. My old BenQ 1640 liked the AML-002, but newer BenQ 1650 has some troubles with them.

Just got back from the same experience. Staples just scans the barcode on the OM coupon, and it's good to go.
Thanks Harvey.
YW. My pleasure.

I've burned hundreds of this brand of disc from my seemingly bottomless POD (Pyramid O? Discs).

I toss maybe 1 or 2 per pack for questionable burns (Errors above 150 as reported by Nero CD/DVD Speed.) I typically burn on a couple of BenQ drives.

Still a great deal for the price although virtually all mine were FAC and R.

Heck of a find, Harv.
"Limit 10 rebates per name/address/household." This just makes it hotter.

This might belong in Brag and Moan, but since it confirms that you can use the Office Max coupon, I think it appropriate here. My wife and I each purchased two spindles of the DVD +r disks today which came to $36.29 after tax with the OM coupon credited. That makes this a really hot deal indeed. Thanks Harvey for a really good post. Haven't seen deals this hot in quite a while.

PS
DVD Identifier verfies GtPrOjEcTX's identification of the Manufacturer's code for the +R as MCC-004-000, but doesn't show Verbatim. I don't know where he is located, but this suggests uniformity in the Staples stock.

Staples accepts office max coupons? Also I can't get their website to display properly.

They do if there's a competitive store in the same market area. I live in L.A., and they didn't even have to override the system manually. The cashier just scanned my coupon, and it worked.

If you have any questions, just call your local Staples before you go to confirm they'll accept it.

The links in my OP are still working. You'll have to enter your zip code the first time you go there.

picked up 2 more today. the cashier has to call over a manager each time, the manager seems a bit mad that "so many people" were now using office max coupons

I've been using these for a few months in my Memorex burners. Very few coasters. I don't use them for any important info, though. When it counts, I reach for Verbatim.

Also, although I was a bit skeptical of the term 'easy' in 'easyrebate,' I was pleasantly surprised that this rebate was quite a bit easier to do than any other I've done. You definitely want to do it online. If you do it online, you don't have to send anything in. It's a cinch to track as well.

Yeah, the online thing is pretty cool. I bought 2 and they accepted the $20 off coupon. So the total was $36.51 out the door - $44 in rebates = $7.49 ahead! great deal!

Anyone find out if the rebate works for you if you use the Office Max coupon?

I think the regular price is pretty good as I have never had a problem with these DVDs but I would not like to lose two rebates trying to save $20.
