i realize that, but other people seem to be able to get it to show up in-cart when they specify in-store pickup.

I did the 18 minute pickup on line. Added the processor first then the Asus Gen3 board. The discount automagically showed up. There was no notification of the discount just that instead of being charged 220 for the motherboard the cart had it charging me 160.

I added the i5 2500K and the Asus ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 LGA. I get the $60 deduction without any sort of fanfare. Tempting. And its only 12 miles from me. My main question is whether I can use my Turtle Beach X41 with the optical out from the PC. Designing a new rig in a Fractal Design Define R3 case. with 4x SATA II SSD's in RAID-0.

$249 for a 2500k plus a Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3. Tempting but it would be overkill lol.

Ok guys, here is my situation. I bit on the $180 for i5 2500k + $60 off z68 MB couple weeks ago. At the time I purchased it, I asked the sales rep if Microcenter will have a black friday deal and he said they wouldn't since Microcenter prices are "already competitive" w/ black friday prices. Fair enough.

Next thing I know, Microcenter is offering i5 2500k for $150 AND the $60 off z68 MB is still applicable. I then spoke with Microcenter customer service to get refund/price match and was informed that they do not "price match black friday prices."

What do you guys think? Is there any way I can get a price match? Or does Microcenter customer service really suck this bad? Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can you just return/rebuy?

You can get it price adjust. I bought mine 11/17 and got it price adjust today at Tustin. Just go to return/exchange counter.

I'm in the same situation, I bought the cpu for $180 on Wednesday, I called the store today to see if they can do the price adjustment (I didn't even know about the $60 off mobo deal! I'll try to get that if I can tomorrow) and they said they won't price match the Black Friday price but if the price remains $150 after Black Friday then they will adjust it

also, when I called the store (in Denver) around noon today, they said they had about 150 units still in stock, so I'm hopeful that the sale will continue through Monday at least

What motherboard should I get with this deal? I don't think I need crossfire/SLI support, but other features are nice. And future upgrade possibilities are good too.

I ended up with a gigabyte z68ap-d3 and a i5 2500k for $230 AR. No SLI and I haven't put it together yet, but on paper it looks good and the price was right.

EDIT: Actually it was $220 AR.

That's absolutely insane. I wish I lived near a Micro Center, $220 is what NE is charging just for the 2500k. Toss on a $30 FS 8GB DDR3-1600 kit from NE and you're set.

If that's what it took for you to delurk after eight years, then I agree. You should actually take a vacation to one sometime, it's geek heaven.
