With 600va, I would expect a graceful shutdown, not much more.

It seems to be only rated for 360W (va and watts are different units, too difficult to explain quickly why), which is only about half the power supply rating.

Get 1200VA or higher.
The 600VA won't cut in when the power goes off, if your machine is pulling too much power, and at full load. All your stuff would be pushing close to ~500 watts or so at full load, if not a bit more, depending what else you have hooked up.
If you have a kill-a-watt meter, what does it read ?

The VA rating means it will support 2/3 as much watts. So if your PS is a 620W you will need at minimum 900VA just to get, say, 30 minutes of battery backup while you save your work. That does not include the monitor or an inkjet printer (laser is verboten).

Your PS will not be pulling 620W unless you are maxed out at the time, but that is how you have to plan.

360w sounds about right, a 1000va UPS is 600w. It should be fine but it is cutting it close. Don't expect more than a minute or two of run time on that. It will protect you from quick flickers and such but if the power actually goes down hard you pretty much have to shut down right away. Never go by the run time they show on the box, those are pretty much if conditions are 100% perfect like brand new batteries running at optimal temperature etc.

Personally I'd just get a 1000va, they're the most common and not that expensive. Once you go past 1000 then they tend to be more expensive. Typically the higher the rating the bigger the batteries will be as well so at half load you will get much more time out of it. Perhaps enough to finish a FPS match or something if your power goes out, or enough time to put your character in a safe place in a MMO. Something to consider if you game a lot.
