Well, I see very few resellers of these PSU, and I have found no reviews as yet. I suppose it will be up to someone to buy one and benchmark and stress test it for us! =) Who's volunteering? Here's my IMHO on this - since none of my familiar retailers carry it, and none of my favorite sites have reviewed it, I think that it is simply too risky. The houses that do sell these seem to be more of the fly-by-night types, which would seem to indicate that this PSU is of less than acceptable quality. Someone prove me wrong, and I will be the first to order one, but I think benching this PSU would yield some 300Watt like results. If that high.

if you're looking for a good PSU, try the Robanton 600W PSU for $69.99 plus shipping. i purchased one after reading the Lost Circuits review on it and it has performed rather well. my Antec SP350 PSU kep crashing during heavy load and the Robanton has yet to crash on me. only downside is that it is now the loudest component in my PC, louder than a WD800JB and 5 Panaflo L1A's.

most PSU are switching in that they don't use the full wattage that they are capable of, unless of course it is needed.

Maximum power output for USB per spec is 5 watts...Most USB ports supply 2.5W. Unless you have a hundred USB buses...

Me tempted- Antec 403x is powering down everytime I do something intensive on my 8RDA+. I guess I really need more than 400w for 3HDs, 2CD-ROMs, 4fans, various PCI cards, yadda yadda.

thats actually quite strange. i have a allied 400w switching power supply and its powering a pIII 1ghz, abit sa6r, all the pci slots filled, a gefore 4 mx440, 4 hard drivers, 1 cdrom driver, 2 burners, and anythign else that i might have missed, perfectly fine

no power supply built with current technology could ever possibly concieve of powering that incredibly powerful system you have there! you'd have to shut down entire neighborhoods everytime you started up counterstrike!
