wasn't there enough transfer of power with the august 10th blowout? it certainly was enough for our rc5 team comes in 3rd in dailies 50% of the time now

im sure with another "dnet has a different opinion than us, so we should bail" post there can be another huge rally of quitters.

HomerFan-

Labeling the folks that disagree with your opinion to stay with DNet sponsored projects as "quitters" (negative connotation), keeping in mind that they are still your teammates, paints a nice positive picture for any newbie dc'ers that may be lurking. I can see them now staring at their monitors, thinking: Man, I can't wait to join the project this guy is working on! What a fine attitude he has! Gee Wally, sign me up!"

Osmo.

Trolling? I think he's right, all the people that let Rc5 because of the McOwen incident has really left the Rc5 TeAm sucking wind.
Nearly a quarter of rc5 production left, most to Seti, but that's besides the point.

All you see in the forums now is Seti, Seti, Seti, ECCp-109.
It's like there's no reason for me to even check DC anymore. :frown:

When I think of all the $$$ I've spent increasing my block count, and leaving my own team to join back up with TA, it makes me wonder if it's all worth it anymore.

IMHO a "Real Team" wouldn't have bailed on rc5 when McOwen hasn't yet even been charged with anything yet.
McNuget's position on the matter did tick a lot of people off, but until charges are actually filed against David, it's all just talk to me.
I wouldn't quit something just because of hear-say.

Flame me all you want, but that's my position on it, and my opinion won't change because someone else doesn't like it.
/end of discussion as far as I'm concerned

Come on guys......lighten up! All I did was get caught up in the spirit that the RC5 team once had. I still participate in RC5, but am enjoying SETI too. Again, I didn't mean to offend anyone.

Please let this thread die.

Yep...I wan't it to die...it's not constructive for any of the Anandtech DC teams.

Gee Engineer, We don't get to disscuse Rc5 much anymore, and you want this thread to die?

If your just going to talk Seti in these forums I might as well go to another site.

Im not mad at anyone for dropping out of RC5, but i have to admit, its pretty boring now, not to mention frustrating, Ive been bustin my a$$ to get my keyrate up. And now that half the Feds left, I feel like im working just to keep us from dropping spots on Dnet. Which is gonna inevitably start heppening soon anyways, we flew up the ranks from above 200 when I joined, to #51, then it all slowed down and the rest of TA did as well. I guess its kinda disheartening considering how gung ho we all were on catching DPC again and now its like yesterdays news.

But I gotta ask, what would it have been like if Dave was running SETI on those university Machines? do you think SETI's stance, if any, would have differed from Nuggets?

I've reached the goal I've set 5,000,000 blocks. I've been running both SETI & RC5 on the same machines since last year. I've decided to increase my Workunits productions to reach my new goal of 10,000 workunits. To do that, I've stopped RC5 on most of my machines giving SETI more computing power. I've dropped off from 1st page of the weekstats and now having problem locating my id.

I did not intend to offend anyone.
