6300/1060 vs 7700/1050ti

So I've got 900 bucks cash to spend on a laptop...

I see the Asus FX502VM with a i5 6300 and a 1060 3g in my range OR a Lenovo Y520 with 7700HQ and a 1050ti 4gb for the same price.

I'm not going to be doing a lot of hyper threading intensive things.

In general, moderate gaming.

Thoughts on that trade off?

The Lenovo has slightly better specs. However, my previous laptop was a Lenovo and it literally fell apart. Screws began falling out, which caused the hinge to malfunction (google "Lenovo laptop screws fell out" and you'll see that it's a common problem). The only remedy was to replace the case/chassis, which wasn't feasible. So I question their quality vs. ASUS.

Maybe those who have owned an ASUS can speak to their laptop quality? My brother-in-law has one and I know he's been happy with it.
