It says on the webpage Valid: 02/09/2003 to 02/16/2003

You have as little as one day to postmark it. That's assuming you even get it in time cause ground shipping is default.

I was gonna get it, but after reading all the details, I think I'll pass.

Boy, except for the Scam part this looks great. What are the odds of getting this actually delivered to CA via ground within a few days, and mailing out the rebate by this Friday? The odds are so low that I'd bet it costs $39.88 + shipping in the end.

If they send it out UPS Ground, people on the west coast are screwed. If they send it USPS Priority Mail or UPS 3 Day Select, then there's a chance.

The postmark date sucks. The rebate processing address is right here in San Francisco too so I could hand-deliver it to them.

I ordered this on Sunday Morning and called them this morning to check, because it said it was still processing. The product is on back order and I tried to cancel and this really feels like a scam to get you to buy other products because they are substituting a Nexar Media for $42 with a $10 rebate. I would suggest if anyone is still waiting in the processing status to cancel or you will get stuck paying full price and not make the rebate deadline.

I just talked to CS and they said that there is a 2 week backorder that will be fulfilled and stated that the rebate will be extended. The new rebate will be shipping with the item. That's what he told me as of 4:45 PM today.

How can JandR extend the rebate? It would have to be from the manufacturer that extends it. I would call the manufacturer and ask them before you get stuck paying full price. Because I spoke to the Store Manager and he indicated no such deal to me.

Well i tried to cancel sunday night over the net. But when I called monday late morning to confirm cancellation they said it had been shipped so as long as it is here by Sat if not I guess I shall refuse delivery

i guess they did ship Mon A.M. because it was on the doorstep this afternoon. maybe J&R caught wind of the forums doubts...so the rebate is in the mail tonight... All is well here thanks fatbrain ...by they way we are talking florida so I would think most everyone who ordered by monday could have it by Sat.
