Well we know now how they will bridge the long wait to Zen4 on AM5 Q4 2022.
Production start for V-cache is end this year so too early for Zen4 so this is certainly coming to AM4.
+15% Lisa said is "like an entire architectural generation"

There is no user benchmark review. It's called a benchmark like Cinebench which is a waste of time. It's simple an apples to apples comparison running the same feature set. The reason people hate userbenchmark simply for a snapshot. In the past it was always slanted towards Intel CPU's. We are comparing Zen 3 AMD CPU's vs AMD CPU's. I look at the best benchmarks and clocks. It's not scientific.

Look at the screenshot posted. They're quoting a "cpupro" review, (a user or editors on their site?). Look at the pages for other cpus, including the 11400F they recommend as a better gaming value.

CPUpro is quoted a lot.The first part of the review quoted is them claiming the 5900x is far worse value than the 5800x. Which is just a moronic statement on multithreaded performance both then and even more so now.

He lives in bulldozer era, just like his fellow Henry, unfortunately for them AMD is in excellent shape now, they bought Xilinx and Pensando which is biggest purchase in the history, They are growing at a rapid rate every year, and Intel fans will have to accept that, no more small AMD, they will fight evenly with Intel every year, and seeing future data center products, I predict a bright future for them and more $billions in wallet.
I like amd products i like both intel and amd.. where did you get the impression i didnt like amd ?

More Zen3D coming for AM4
This should give us an idea to the upper limit to the costs of this tech. Looking to compare 6C > 6C v-cache > 8C > 8C v-cache, etc, prices.

I don't think this could be use as such. Most of these dies are bottom of the barrel Milan-X CCDs that did not make the cut.

A 5600X3D is more curious. If they're going to make a 5900X3D (and not a 5950X3D) it wouldn't be hard to use some of those chiplets for a single chiplet part, but I'm not sure why they would just put them all towards a two chiplet part considering the 5800X3D has the market covered as far as anyone who doesn't need or want more than 8 cores is concerned.

This is kind of surprising. I guess the supply and demand for Milan die must be manageable now.

If I recall correctly, the original 5900X3D prototype they showed had pretty good performance in games, possibly higher than the current 5800X3D. Maybe AMD really wants some of those would-be-12900KS-buyers to defect and later seal the deal to always-AMD with Zen 4.
Same gaming performance, but impressive application performance that take advantage of the stacked 3D RAM

Note that 5600X3D is reported/rumored to only add 32MB, so only half of the v cache. If true it's pretty much the dumping ground for all X3D dies where parts of the v cache broke, but at least half of it was still salvageable.

Most applications don't benefit from the extra v-cache. It's usually a case of no gains at all or really big gains, with fewer results in between. For most applications the additional clock speed of a 5800X is worth more than the extra cache.

It probably helps out with general system performance if a lot of applications are running because more of their data can stay in the cache, but that's harder to measure. But most people wouldn't want a 5900X3D over a 5900X unless they're primarily using it for one of those applications that does get a big boost.

It would be interesting to see if most of the 15% average games can be had with half of the 3D cache. I believe there could be a sweet spot for gaming(Keeping in mind that the 3D V cache was design for HPC apps and not games so the Full 64 is for that purpose and not gaming) and 32 MiB might be the "Sweet" spot.
