I honestly don't play any graphic intensive games. No, the 660Ti is a better card IMHO, especially if it is a reference 7870.
I honestly don't play any graphic intensive games.
Is the performance difference marginal?
I just want it for miningAre you trading just to try something new? If so, go for it. But I think the 660ti is what I would want to keep.
15%-20% That's not too bad considering the fact that the most graphic intensive game I play is Garry's Mod.The 660ti is about 15-20% faster.
Unless you're getting cash in the deal, it's a bad trade.
7870's aren't great for mining, I didn't think the gap was as big as 15% to 20%, but the 660TI is faster.
I really want a 7870XT or a 280x
I have WOW Mist of Pandaria Collector's Edition I want to get rid of as well.
I'll get better khs than the 260 I'm getting (this is with an overclock of 100 on the clock and 123% power)For mining? Trust me, you do not want a 7870XT for mining... I just sold mine, it was a huge disappointment for mining performance, but a beast as far as gaming performance/OCing is concerned.
280x would obviously be a very nice upgrade, especially with mining in mind, but I don't see you getting that offer unless you add at least $150 on top of your 660Ti.
True, with the 7870XT you can expect a maximum of around 360kH/s. Each card seems to be different though, but that usually holds true for the majority of them. You would also be using a lot more power than a 7870/7850/270. 7850s are capable of pulling the same mining numbers as a 7870XT while using significantly less power.
I get 430k all day on mine. You'll be playing with settings for awhile though.
Someone just offered me a 270X for my 660ti.
I told him I'd do a straight trade for it
