6800 Brands

I'm looking to buy a vanilla 6800 but I'm confused as to what brand to go for. The one that stands out the most is eVGA, although there's PNY and XFX and others. Does one brand have some kind of advantage over another?

evga only has a 1 year warranty and some people have said the 2D is not too good when using the VGA output. The BFG model has a lifetime warranty. Not sure how PNY and XFX differ.

Yeah, go for BFG, everyone I know tells me they rock. I'm going to get one, providing NewEgg is actually carrying them at that point. I've heard bad things about PNY, never heard of XFX though. PNY is a pretty common brand though so maybe it might be good to take a look at it. But BFG is OC'd out of the box, plus it has a lifetime warranty, what do you have to lose?

if I was ever to get a 6800NU at this point in time the clear choice would be a Gigabyte 6800NU w/ a silent/passive heatpipe cooler. It overclocks great (from the 2 reviews I have seen) and is totally silent and will look great in a windowed case.

i got the bfg 6800 nu and its sweet. unlocked the 16 pipes with rivatuner also. hey lifetime warranty, 24/7 tech support, OC'd right out of the box, free farcry, all u'll lost is a little bread and i got mine at newegg while they had it in stock and it was on the $20 discount. they dont have it in stock nemore so im glad i got mine while i did

I'm runnin the 6800ultra from EVGA, with no problems, I would recommend EVGA or BFG.

As I purchased a vanilla BFG 6800 for my GF, and it runs fantastic, was really impressed.
