Anyone know if the 6800 gt's are more available in europe (germany, england maybe...)??

Living in Norway, and was initially planning on having it sent from the States, but now I've got (from what it sounds like the same as many others) an Asus SLI board lovingly installed in it's new home, with no vid... grrrr.

Any tips greatly appreciated.

I won't even be able to know if my A8N SLI was DOA or not until I finally can get some vid cards. Pissing me off.

great thread...

i'd like to see price updates on 6800 NU's.

So far I see a few for around $332 for the MSI offering.

If i'm correct, the NU has 12 rendering pipes and clocked a bit slower. Anyone confirm this?

Sorry for the lack of an update guys. Work has stuck it to me the last couple weeks.

Just updated the list for prices and added some of the 6800ultra brands.

Just got off the phone with Chumbo.com. The 399.99 for the BFG 6800GTOC will no longer be able to be sold by itself.

According to Andrew at Chumbo.com, "BFG is forcing us to NOT sell the card by itself any longer, unless your order is already in. They now are ONLY offering a BUNDLE deal. 1 6800GTOC WITH a 550watt power supply."

So i asked the obvious, If i want 2 cards, i have to buy 2 bundles, for a total of 2 cards and 2 power supplies?

ANSWER: YES!!!???

WTF..

lol thats funny, i jus received my eVGA 6800GT's from monarch for 445 each, it was marked OEM and i thought they didnt include the molex to 6 pin power adapters so i bought 2 for 17$, when i open the box, to my suprise...there are already adapters in the package from eVGA. So i now have 2 adapters i dont need, 17$ down the drain.

Been following this thread since it's inception and this is all becoming so outrageous, especially with the non availability and price-gouging. I just want to be able to use my FX-55 and 2GB RAM now! By the time these are readily available, my system will be today's equivalent of a 286! Now we have to buy some unwanted (probably not the brand or size you want either) and unnecessary (for those who buy their own PSU's - which is most of us) PSU in order to get these cards, which should have been out months ago and in great supply, at MSRP prices!! Oh well, 2x6600GT's (LeadTek), here I come. Hopefully this won't happen in another year with the NV50 (which I thought was supposed to support SLI or have some variant for that). This waiting finally broke me, and it's probably for the best that I spent the extra money on a better CPU and RAM to leave the VGA upgrade for down the road when they are in stock and not for much more than MSRP (which has usually not been the starting point for video cards that have enough supply at launch).

The new price will be $499.99 with a power supply i dont need...

Sounds like BFG have got a stock pile of 550W power supplies they need to offload, why not bundle it with the hottest product on the market.

Has anyone seen a review on the power supply? is it crap (hence the stock pile) or does it do OK.

Some times its also worth not only looking online for these cards. Since I live in Milwaukee I went to a store called Milwaukee PC and asked them if I could get these and he said no problem to my surprise so i ordered two. Whats even more amazing is that they came in within a week of the order. I paid 450 each. had them in my pc for a week now and love them

Forward thinking, I have done that in the past, got a list of parts that I want together and taken them to the local store ask if they can get them.

BTW. When Buying an pair of cards for SLI wouldn't it be cheaper to get one Retail box and one OEM box with two retail boxes you end up with two copies of the useless game they ship.

Monarch just went from 499 in stock all day to 525.00 tonight for the BFG 6800GTOC

They already had these in stock, it cant be blamed on the wholesalers...

Screw them and every other retailer that is screwing people over.
