Wanted to pass this along since Chumbo is charging near MSRP for these excellent BFG cards!

Chumbo definitely gets my business instead of the other price gouging sites + free fedex shipping!

BFG 6800GT PCI-E + 550W PSU on sale for $499 IN STOCK

OK. I broke down and bought the 2x6800gt and 1x550W PSU. I guess I'll be sending back my 6600gt's to newegg. Too bad that in the end, with restocking fees, this is going to cost me $450+ a card.

Just wanted to say that Andrew @ Chumbo is really helpful too. We all know that the "Egg" and a few other places have treated us well but hats off to the Anti-gouge by Chumbo. OK I'm done just a little pumped is all.

I agree.

I have done almost all my business with Newegg ever since I found them about 3 years ago. Sad to see that Newegg even is gouging on prices... look at the A8N SLI Deluxe board: $269 ($199 MSRP.)

I fought VERY hard to not buy the 2 6800GT's right now. I'm going to wait a couple months.

Ordered my Super Bundle and overnight for 5.00

I can credit for that bundle by the way..

If it wasn't for my email that i sent to bfg, you would be buying 2 power supplies without a bundle..

I wanted to make a quick interjection here...

I purchased two BFG 6800GT's from chumbo on the 22nd of december. I was really stoked b/c MSRP was impossible to find anywhere else. I recived a package fomr chumbo on the 23rd, it felt a little light... Turns out they only put one card in the box and filled the rest with a measly little wad of packaging paper. The lone card was sliding around in the FEDEX box. I was pretty pissed at this point. It got worse, because the card inside was BROKEN! One of the capacitors had been damaged so that it was connected by only one solder point.
I was REAL close to murdering people in the holiday season... (especially since I had my a8n-sli and was htis close to having an SLI rig by Xmas)

I am better now though

I HAD to have at least one 6800GT before my little bro's came up, so I ordered ANOTHER from Gameve an XFX. The XFX worked great, but I got gouged and payed $520 or so for an overnight shipment. My rig was toally unstable for the time after b/c it turns out the EPS12v PSU I have ( a PC Power and Cooling) doesn't play well with the a8n rig. This brings me to a point (yes I am not just on a RANT). THE BFG PSU is a dual 12v rail psu... I would be careful with that b/c it seems there are alot of issues involved with people using dual 12v rail PSUs and SLI setups (or even one PCI-E for that matter)

Chumbo ended up sending me a card on the 6th or 7th of January out of the blue. I decided to send my broken card back to BFG (Which I still haven't got back yet, but thats another story). The XFX went back to gameve for a refund (although I still got hit by a restock)

I bitched to chumbo about the fact that it was THEIR fault that I HAD to buy another card from gameve. I had to pay the restock fee b/c chumbo jacked up my order. They were nice enough to give me a $15 gift certificate, which I haven't used yet. Maybe if someone wants to buy it from me for $10... hrm?

I just bought the power bundle from Chumbo. thank you so much for the link. I was getting real close to buying one from the scum bag gougers at Monarch. Major hats off to the guys at Chumbo for playing pretty dam nice regarding price compared to all the other companies out there. Now I have to get this XFX returned.

I wonder if this means an end is near for the shortage on the NV45's. I seriously doubt it and am guessing that these few shipments are probably from the holiday surge to ramp up production, but yields have caused failure for those plans.
