As the name indicates AGP6800GS, the new card is based on Nvidia's GeForce 6800GS chip, which is clocked at 350 MHz and runs on 12 pipelines.

wtf? where's the 75 other mhz gone? it's worthless!

I would buy one to replace my old AGP card. Seems to be perfect for my old rig. Not TOO fast, nor TOO slow.
I always thought the gap between the 6800nu and the 6800GT was too big. NV just 'had' to cripple the 6800nu with slow ram.

It would be nice if they would release cards closer to the upper end and not aim for just certain price targets with lesser cards. Why not a 7800GS-AGP instead?

apoppin, there is a large market for agp cards, look at the stir the 6800gs agp caused, and remember the Diamond x1800 "agp" typo, it created a buzz.
IMHO i'm dissapointed by what the 6800gs agp has to offer. only it's price would be an advantage over the 6800gt. it's PCIe's counterpart competes nicely against the 6800gt in performance, but has the big advantage in price. i'm glad i decided to go with the 6800gt instead.
This card is clocked at 400MHz core, 1100MHz memory, an important 50 MHz faster than the recently announced Albatron card. Memory wise the card is 100MHz faster than Nvidia's recommended speed.
