Overclocking will not void the warranty. My Sapphire X800GTO2 came with overclocking software endorsed by Sapphire. When I installed, it said nothing about voiding the warranty. It has an auto-overclocking feature which attempts to find the highest overclock for your card. It's an OK program, but ATI Tray Tools is much better.

X800GTOs almost always come with 16 pipes enabled now, so old "stock" benchmarks should be updated.

well you say it gets like 144FPS in stress test

wut about when you're in a 32man server? or a scrim and there is tons of action going on? how much do frames drop?

If you don't plan to oc, get one of the uber clocked GS cards, I think XFX makes one that runs 485/1100 stock or something.

I used a modded gto until recently, and I like playing CS:S on servers with lots of people. I havent seen any slowdowns, but that of course depends on your settings. I usually play at 1280x960, and at that res there was no slowdowns. If you play at 1600x1200 or higher, you may get slowdowns, but so would a 6800gs. For high res gaming you'd be better off with a newer high end card.

i'll be playing with a 19" 800x600 unless it looks really crappy, i may try 1280x1024 the native resolution
