Everyone needs to let the other thread die, all there is is flaming going on in there.

Anyways, I spoke with the manager that did my order today, said nothing about canceling my order. He did say he couldn't give me the X800Pro for the same price...now. However, if my card doesn't arrive next week and he doesn't hear anything about when they'll ship then he will consider giving me the X800Pro as a replacement (This guy has treated me GREAT!). He did say that the order satus has changed and that he could get it in as early as tomorrow or Monday...which I thought was just some BS that he was giving me but now look at compusa's website!!

Ships on Monday!!!

Let's hope they aren't yanking our chains any further!

That doesn't mean the $300 preorders will ship then. I'd bet they are shipping full price people first.

Unless, of course, they tamper with LCD compatibility like BFG/Bestbuy did.

What it DOES mean is that local stores should be receiving them soon. This benefits people like ME who preordered at a B&M store. I don't see why the two of you are so negative.

Those of you waiting for the PNY, I seriously am wondering why? If you got in on the deal, I understand, but why go for the card from a less than great company when others are already shipping?

Don't get me wrong, I tried *hard* to get the deal at CUSA, but when it didn't pan out... Why not get the BFG (shipping the same week from what I understand) or the eVGA (comes with Farcry and moderately better support than PNY... and is available NOW)?

Now, had the deal not worked for me then I wouldn't sit here bitching and moaning about it but the fact of the matter is I got in on the deal and I'm waiting on my card. From the looks of it I should ahve it within the week.

Let's look at the complete sentence you are quoting. That sentence is questioning EVERYONE that went for the card. Notice the "I understand....!!!BUT!!! why go for the card..."

Heh, where does it say, aside from in your post, in any way that this thread "only pertains to those that GOT IN ON THE DEAL." I didnt get in on the deal, i didnt even try, didnt have the spare cash when it came up. However i read this thread cause i was interested in the topic, that GT's are shipping. I'm not ready to buy one right this moment but i will be soon and im glad to see that more are becoming available, leading to competition and lower prices in the future. It was pretty clear to me that the post you attacked was wondering why people, like myself, who DIDNT get in on the deal would consider a PNY 6800.

Shrug, not trying to start a flame, just stating onlooker view.

Next time, instead of starting yet *another* flame thread on a topic that was peeled off because there were too many flames, you could ASK FOR CLARIFICATION instead of being an asshat?

My appologies for misreading your post, however I don't understand completely why you posted what you posted in this thread. No one said they were waiting on the PNY w/o the 30% deal?

I am pretty sure all those still posting in here got in on the 30% off deal. Atleast I did. One reason not to go with the BFG is its DVI sucks it doesn't support any wide screen res or 1600 x 1200. I know alot of peopel willing to spend this much bucks on video ussually have a pretty snazy monitor too. Check out the thread in the video forum.
