Does this card run any faster than a 6800NU without GDDR3. I just noticed the core is set to 400 not the normal 325.

Their site has some typos to. In the Title it says DDR, in Features & Benefits it says GDDR3, but in Specifications it says 256MB(wow) 256bit DDR Memory. Who knows what it has.

hmmm, its not a typo then, my bad, but no, it is the same clockspeed, it will not run any faster (slower if its like ddr2 is clock for clock compaired to ddr1) than the other 6800s, unless you overclock it. but i also see dual dvi, interesting, but odd 6800. But, i did not notice that core, so yes it will run faster,

It seems like a very good 6800NU. I think I should email XFX and ask them. The dual dvi is nice to. I would like to find a 256meg 6800NU with dual dvi.

Yeah I just saw that. However the topic wondered off to other 6800's and never answered the question if it was a typo or not. That is what I want to know. If I missed that answer in that thread, I am sorry.

Any volunteer who wants to throw 287$ and try out that card to see if it really has 400Mhz core/GDDR3memory?
I guess it is too good to be true, but if it was true, then this is definately the best bang for the buck ATM

The ASUS is obviously a GT model no matter what they decide to call it. They don't have a GT listed on their site, but the specs on that card sure look like a GT to me.

Yes, I emailed newegg yesterday about it and asked them to check it out. It turns out that XFX had their specs wrong on their site which is where Newegg got its info from. I guess they contacted XFX and confirmed the correct specs.

Sure looks like a GT card. Is clocked like one, and has DDR3 ram... doesn't make sense that they would take a vanilla 6800 and slap all that on there.

Sense or not, they did it. There's a review of this card linked over at nVNews and I think Asus themselves pimp it as "25% faster than a normal NU" which sort of makes sense given the 1GHz DDR3 vs 700MHz DDR1.

It's by far the coolest NU.

Someone needs to bench the GT against the NU at the same core/mem speeds and see the true difference between 12 and 16pipes.

Can some one provide a link to that review of the uber 6800NU by Asus? I can not seem to find it.
