Such boasting on the internet gets tiresome.

And, no you wouldn't charge them anything....you wouldn't get a dime out of them.
+1 to that.
People can get pissed all they want, but you cannot do anything about it. Its all an automated system usually. For all you know they credited you back, it takes up to 3 days to post back to the account if it automatically went through.

This is the way of life, most everyone should already know how the wep purchases work and its your fault that you thought it would actually be legit on a brand new release on ram. just my 2 cents.

as stated, it takes time to fix 7 thousand plus orders. there have been so many deals like this that everyone knows is bogus, but they want to waste their time trying.
These times are not like the past when you get a price mistake and they honor it, that was 20 yrs ago. There are so many new ways that they are protected against mistakes like this, its not even funny.

Good luck for those thinking they will get somewhere. Most i see is possibly a discount for the inconvenience and they do not even have to do that if they do.

He makes a good point. I don't think you would get anywhere imo. More power to ya if your gonna try but I'm just saying. The odds of it turning in your favor are slim. GL though

I'm not actually trying to be unreasonable, I know it will take amex up to 5 days to process the refund, but they will post date it to when they received it. I am just anticipating a 5-6 week process (which based off their reply email is looking to be unlikely). If they jack me around and hold my money for weeks I'm going to have fun with it.

Like I said way earlier, I understand its a pricing mistake, I'm not one of the lunatics that will insist on sueing to get the 'deal' that was just a mistake (personally I think they priced 1 stick instead of 3, an easy mistake to make). I'm just going to be very unhappy if my money is held for an excessive time ... its amazing how many ppl here don't get that concept.

Oh we get that concept. But if you think you're going to get anything more than maybe a "We're sorry, here's a 10% off coupon for your next (if ever) purchase with us," that just makes us laugh at you even more.

I've seen ram cheaper.....though not lately. I wasn't sure it was a price mistake. I pass on all the goofy price mistakes.

I actually think $85 is the proper price for 3x2gb of DDR3 .

The best way to fix a mistake is quickly!

I have absolutely no problem with a company refusing to honor a price error IF (and it is a big IF) they do not take my money for the product. E-commerce is much too main stream now for a company to charge your account before shipping the product and then claim it is ok to tie-up your funds for an extended time.

There have been class action suits (such as the WMC) for this exact practice many years ago that resulted in the vendor providing compensation for completing a transaction (taking your money) and then not providing the product. Again, I really don't think the vendors owe a buyer anything for an error if they simply take the proper action of not costing the customer for their error.
