Strangely enough, for a long time now I have only been folding on 2 clients - one SMP and one GPU2. Even now, my stats page says I have 3 clients running. Is somebody folding for me? I'm not sure how this is possible especially since I use a passkey like everyone else.

I have looked at the stats for the past weeks and thought ... and I have restructured the teams one more time.
I am interested in getting the two teams within striking distance from each other, that means for me a difference (in ppd as well as in points) as small as it can be for the final part of the race: the part of the race after the PrimeGrid Challenge Race. After the PrimeGrid race I will do no changes ... Please take a look at the stats, think a little and let me know what you think. Since all stats tables are posted you can see easily what I have done ...
I have removed those folders who have not folded anything at all during the first 16 days. If they produce, i'll add them in again - I have the numbers in my spread sheet.
The difference in points is less than 0,5%, the difference in ppd is less than 5%. The ppd changes much more than the points on a day-to-day basis and threfore what was a huge difference one day may become a tiny one the next day ...

Anyhow, the racers have produced more than 78% of the TeAm's total production ... well done!

Looks good to me - I wish that we had that outage to use as history. About 2 out of 3 days I have -bigadv hit for ~250k points, so tomorrow will be my off day, I guess...

The microcenter near me has the 1055T back in stock. It is very tempting to get a 3rd one to replace the last of my machines still running on ddr2 memory.
I just don't think I could pull this one off.
Hmmmm, maybe I could ask for this as a birthday gift. $129.29 isn't too extravagant.

Peter, as it's coming tomorrow, just to clarify: Will you or won't you be counting work done during the PrimeGrid race? I was planning on leaving my CPUs on Folding, unless you won't count that work.

I have thought about this ...
I will do a stats update today, which is then a potential starting point.
I will follow the stats during the race.
The I will do a stats restart after the PrimGrid race.

If the teams are approx. equal (difference less than 1&#37 in their FAH-production during the PrimeGrid Race then I will count the points into the FAH-race.
If the teams differ more than 1% then the post-PG-race stats will start anew from today's stats.

I think this is fair for those who want to defend TeAm AnadTech's position in the PG-Challenge - the TeAm is in 9th position, which is the highest we have ever had.

Any opions are appreciated.

That's essentially the same as ignoring the FAH stats during the race either way, isn't it? It's your race, but I would appreciate a more overt decision.

OK. All Folding@Home production during the PrimeGrid Race will not be included in the stats for the FAH-HSR-Race.
This makes it easier for me ...

Here are the stats as of 20:00 UTC.

Today the racers produced approx 78.5% of the whole TeAm's output. Well done!
The difference between the teams is 39 150 points, that is 0,18%. I think that the break (see below) should be used - by both teams - to increase power, to recruit, to asslaminate (TeAm-speak for assimilate) and borgh more folding power!

Since the PrimeGrid Challenge Series' Winter Solstice Race starts in less than 9 hours, the stats above will be also the final stats for this first part of the race.
After the PrimeGrid race new stats will start.
At the end of the FAH-race the points from the first part (above) and the second part (finished January 1, 2012) will be added for a final score.

Here is an other view of the production until now:

These are some very nice numbers! BTW: the date in columns D & E should be Dec. 18 ... I forgot to change it!

Very nice numbers indeed. Sadly no spare £££ for upgrades this year for me so I am relying on my TeAm! 16th? Someone knock me into 20th and I'll know you're really trying

Thanks yet again PB! Off to Primegrid we go...

I object to this decision as I have been running 1 of my large WU for about 1 1/2 days but will now get no points for that time (for the race I mean). I'm sure some of the other bigadv crunchers may feel the same way.

Agreed. By stopping the race we're now saying PG is more important than Folding. I chose the Folding race knowing I wouldn't be able to participate in the PG race.

Main theme: Please see the first post in this thread:
Just the bare facts:

1. Start: December 1, 2011, 19:00 UTC
2. End: January 1, 12:00 UTC
3. Short intermission: December 19, 05:30 UTC - December 22, 05:30 UTC (The Winter Solarstice PrimeGrid Challenge)
I under stand the objections ... and for quite a few the PG challenge, which is going on for a whole year, the PG-race is very important.

Unfortunately, there is no real way to be 100% fair. For those who choose to defend the TeAm's standing in the Primegrid Challenge - we are #9 there and that is the best standing we ever had - having to drop some positions after 10 races ...

For those who want to fold ... for them the PrimeGrid race is "unfair".

I'll keep the stats running. If the teams are very similar (difference of less than 1% in production) then I may add those stats ...

It looks like I may have come in under the wire (uploaded @ 9.45 PM EST), but I'm sure there are those who won't and may thus go unrewarded for several days of folding.

I don't think the PG race is unfair, I just think that those who choose to stop folding do so of their own free will. (And personally I can't fathom the fascination with prime numbers! )

Maybe we should move the F@H race to January so there are no distractions.

Maybe it's not true, but it atleast feels like Primegrid has a race every month.
