Nice dump by brownstone today!
today was a great day, i outperformed my production from last december!
december 2010: 567,507 points
december 2011 so far: 580,901 points
Peter, as it's coming tomorrow, just to clarify: Will you or won't you be counting work done during the PrimeGrid race? I was planning on leaving my CPUs on Folding, unless you won't count that work.
That's essentially the same as ignoring the FAH stats during the race either way, isn't it? It's your race, but I would appreciate a more overt decision.
OK. All Folding@Home production during the PrimeGrid Race will not be included in the stats for the FAH-HSR-Race.
This makes it easier for me ...
I under stand the objections ... and for quite a few the PG challenge, which is going on for a whole year, the PG-race is very important.Just the bare facts:
1. Start: December 1, 2011, 19:00 UTC
2. End: January 1, 12:00 UTC
3. Short intermission: December 19, 05:30 UTC - December 22, 05:30 UTC (The Winter Solarstice PrimeGrid Challenge)
Main theme: Please see the first post in this thread:
........... the PG-race is very important.
Unfortunately, there is no real way to be 100% fair.................
Maybe it's not true, but it atleast feels like Primegrid has a race every month. It looks like I may have come in under the wire (uploaded @ 9.45 PM EST), but I'm sure there are those who won't and may thus go unrewarded for several days of folding.
I don't think the PG race is unfair, I just think that those who choose to stop folding do so of their own free will. (And personally I can't fathom the fascination with prime numbers! )
Maybe we should move the F@H race to January so there are no distractions.
