This seems like a good deal to me, I have heard their refurbs are topnotch. Scroll down to the bottom and select special deals, then scroll down again to find it, I think it is a 3g. Linkage

They are back, the 20gig 3g ipod with dock and remote for the new low price of 279.00. Just grabbed one as I have been watching the site for some time and can finally afford it. Thought I would give some others the heads up, looks like they charge tax though (atleast in Utah) so total came to about 296 for me, but shipping was free.

I bought 2G 10gb refurb a while back..it came unscratched with all the accessories new-even in a new box. My roommate on the other hand bought a 3G 30gb refurb but his came in a white box-everything looked new inside though.

yeah i bought a refurb ipod and it looked brand new with sealed packaging on accesories and same warranty as new.

I got the 2nd gen 10GB refurb. It was like getting a new one. I would highly recommend an Apple refurb.

That's great, thanks for sharing your opinion. On topic, for those of you who haven't purchased refurb stuff from apple, you're missing out. The stuff is excellent...it's usually almost brand new, and with the ipods they usually replace all the exterior parts so there's no scratches or anything. Not to mention you get the full warranty of a brand new ipod and not some refurb warranty. Refurb stuff from Apple is top notch - and I'm speaking on personal experience having ordered a few times before.

Wow...I got in on the 10gb refurb for $199 last week. Should be delivered tomorrow. Can't wait. I figure 10gb should be more than enough space and I save $100 over the 20gb. I think the 20gb for $299 and 40gb for $399 are great deals tho. Especially if it comes with the dock and remote.

No deals to use on top of this one? Cause I just ordered a 15GB 3g iPod for 249.99 + tax with the student education discount thing new, and I'm wondering if the 30BG for 349.99 refurb is worth it, without any discount.

Don't forget, the 30GB comes with the dock and remote(?) as well.

So essentially...twice the space, same warranty, and extras for another $100.

not gonna debate utility of the dock but the remote, jesus, combine the remote cord with the headphones they give you and the cord length is like 6 feet.

Sometimes it's a little bit too loose...once it got stuck while I was walking pretty fast on this car's hood windbreaker thingy (sort of like the windbreaker on the sunroof of some cars but this car had one on the roof with the sides poking out) and it caused my then brand new ipod to fly out =(
That's how my ipod got scratched =( =(
And then my remote connector's cracked since then.

But sometimes it's a good thing since you can put the remote down at the bottom of t-shirts and still have the headphones reach.

I bought a set of sony mdr-ex71's and the headphone they give in the short/long version(the one with the connector) is VERY short so if you think it's too long go buy a set of those and your total length will be a lot shorter.

I bought the 20 gig refurb last time they had this out, incredible deal! Although I never use the remote, but use the dock all the time. The iPod has made my hour commute to work bearable.

what they need now is to make cars with stereos with audio in. it's so easy to do, but hardly any come w/ it by default. u can take away my cd player if u want, but gimme an audio in! then there's always that tape cassette thingy, but cars nowadays also ditched the cassette system for the cd system. sigh...
