It would appear that some us are getting work but I have had a computer attached to CSG for some time now and received no work at all so I am abandoning that project............

I'm suddenly not getting CSG tasks either, although they have over 400,000 the server status page says.

They posted that they were going to have a brief network outage this morning. I think it is over because I'm getting WU again.

For some reason I have a computer that is not getting any GPU work from PrimGrid. The cards are R9-290. Is there an issue that I am not aware of?

I have included ATI in GPU preferences already.

OK, that did the trick. Thanks Tony. You are a scholar and a gentleman........ well, a scholar at least.

Under an hour left for City Run(POGS). Time to think about switching over to something else if you have not already.

Thanks Pokey.

Well done on The Skynet POGS, Gentlemen, we held tight to 14th place.

As for me, still having little luck on getting a full queue from CSG, but most machines have a task or two running. Every bit is going to help in this haphazard Marathon!

I guess the best thing to do it start bunkering some UNIVERSE tasks and let what few CSG I have complete. I only hope the PrimeGrid tasks can last 24 hours, so as to not lose anything there.

Time to flush the Universe!

Edit: Other news:

- The Sprint project is Rosetta@Home.
- I just discovered the Universe has limits...on the number of tasks in progress. And its WUs don't validate quickly. Might make sense to switch off Universe early.

Thank goodness we won't have any shortage with Rosetta. Seems like I can go back to 'normal' computing soon, as Rosetta was my current project before the race.

It'd be nice if my nearly 500 completed PG tasks would validate prior to the race's close, but the 'waiting' number seems to rise each time I check.

CSG is like Russian Roulette, never know what's going to happen. One PC still gets all the tasks it wants (sorta) while the rest struggle to get any. The AMD system has yet to get a single task to my knowledge.

We gained a place in PrimeGrid (good job Pokey!!!), and may gain another rank before closing time.

Gasp! I'm no longer #1 in Universe. How dare you pass me without waving, Silverthorne!!!

FYI:
Universe did not want to start up even though I have run it in the past. The only way I got things to work was to "remove" the project and then add it back.
Not sure what that was all about but all is good now.

If I remember correctly Rosetta is cpu only, is it not? An interesting choice for a sprint. Just saying........... our GPUs will be walking across the finish line.

4 hours to get PrimeGrid tasks turned in. We were blown past by another team, who is currently doubling our output and is unreachable. :/

We're doing well in CSG, I've backed off a bit, put some machines on Universe, but hopefully we can get ahead of the next team SOON, BOINCStats, and stay there (we squeezed passed EVGA already). I have the twins on CSG as long as they can keep tasks.

I have one box on Rosetta now, for a tiny buffer. That may change depending on how I read the Universe portion of the race.

Crunch on!

I now have one computer on CSG and PrimeGrid, one on Universe, and one on Rosetta, plus a tablet on CSG and a phone on Universe. Whew!

Yeah this crap gets hectic, Ken, lol.

56 threads on CSG, 24 threads on Rosetta, 18 OC'd threads on Universe, with some GPUGrid tossed in there. And mid 90's here this week. Gonna hate the next electric bill.

Good news regarding Rosetta, the TeAm has many 'silent' members there, helping us out to the tune of 39k per day on avg. (I suspect the other teams have silent members doing the same though.) Rosetta is fairly low scoring, I think 42k per day is about the best I can do personally, so the ones who don't even know they are racing should be quite a boost!

I have 10 cores on Universe, 6 on CSG and 4 off line (till go time)on Rosetta.
That's where I'll probable leave them till the end.

I miscalculated the start of Rosetta by a day so back to universe for now.

I have aligned 36 cores to Rosetta with 3 days worth of work. Will turn network services back on once the "sprint" starts

Just put a dual cpu (2xXeon 5355, 8 cores) and my Q6660 pointing at Universe and will switch one of the to Rosetta when it starts

Personally, I recommend putting Core 2's on CSG (if possible). CSG seems to prefer real cores to HT ones, by quite a margin.

The dual Xeon(2 x 4 cores) and Q6600 (4 cores) are all real cores. 2x4 on the Xeons and 4 on the q6600. A little antique, but still work for what I need.

Awesome! Thanks for joining in BofRA!!

In other news....I just can't help myself, I've brought online 56 more threads! I've lost count probably, but I think that makes 154.
