Unfortunately, nothing can be done about it.
When you see discord amongst the troops of your enemy, be of good courage; but if they are united, then be upon your guard. When you see contention amongst your enemies, go and sit at ease with your friends; but when you see them of one mind, string your bow, and place stones upon the ramparts.

Well you could vote a straight 3rd party ticket (not a single Republican/Democrat). Yeah I know they're crazies but so are the Republicrats but at least they'd be disjointed and crazy instead of working together to do evil.
70% of Americans are opposed to sending weapons to Syria
Best case scenario we end up with another Afghanistan, putting weapons into the hands of our enemies to fight a larger enemy. The difference is in Afghanistan we were fighting the Soviets for world dominance. We'd be fighting Assad for.. what exactly? To get another paid off "ally" in the region that takes our money, weapons, calls themselves our ally and repays us by sheltering known terrorists?
<-- 70%'er
I think the slippery slope argument is valid in this case... because what's the next step?
what if the weapons aren't enough. is the government willing to say "well, we tried, sorry guys;" or is taking a stand against Assad committing us to their cause, meaning we'll have to escalate support if the weapons delivery doesn't result in Assad being removed from power?
Have we learned nothing from Iraq or Afghanistan? Honestly, the perpetual stupidity of this country sometimes amazes me. In the global theater, the enemy of our enemy is not our friend.
Our government has never learned one lesson from any internal war they have stuck our noses into. They are like Wile E. Coyote only it's not funny.
who are these 30%? i'm not buying this poll...
who are these 30%? i'm not buying this poll...
20% of America would agree to anything, and 10% are working in DC or the defense industry?
