700@933 - Slot1 or FC-FGA with slotket?

I am wanting to buy a 700@933 to go in my Abit bx6 rev 2. Shall I get a slot 1 model or a cheaper FC-FGA model and use a slotket?

Are they any different when it comes to cooling or overclocking?

Any additional info or advice would be appreciated.

use ppga and get cbo steping
i am useing a 700 on a cusl2 board pc100 ram voodoo 3 3000
45 gig wd drive and win. me it runs at 933 out of the box.
g orm fan on it.

Yes, FC-PGA... You shouldn't get Slot1 because in case you move to dual later on, it's only available in socket, not slots.. - being phase out.

In terms of what is the better chip, there is still no evidence that fc-pga is better then slot design. Both have it´s pros and cons.

I have and Bx6 rev 2 myself and upgraded from a celery 366 to a P3 700E Slot 1. Since I knew that it will be the last chip in the board
and i intend to keep the system that way rather than strip it for parts, it seemed unlogical to choose fc-pga. Also, take into account that fc-pga are more senstive when installing them. Since it is quite hard to find a slot 1 these days, it sadly leaves u little alternatives.
My cbo p3 can do 1ghz at core voltage with cas 2-2-2 ram btw..
Im not the overclocking freak, but these 700e really overclock well.
The 933 setting is VERY achievable at core voltage on the bx6rev2...

I think both are equal but all the new duals are fc-pgas... you'll want to go dual when you have a little cash... Problem is when slots are phase out.. it'll be hard plugging in a slot into a fc-pga boards.

actually fc-pga at buy.com 733 is 180 with 30 off = 150, slot 1 750 is 285.
