I did milk some other stuff out of him. 5 Free oil changes, and $100 gift cert from the saab catalog.

I thought you get free scheduled maintaince from Saab for the first 2 years.

Correct, 4 year warranty with 2 year free service.

Damn salesman! I guess I only got the $100 GC then

just called Saab, every 7500 miles they cover an oil change via the maintenance agreement.

Regardless, you still got an awesome deal on a great vehicle.

I drive too much for my job and I'm sick of spending so much time and money at the pump. The accord Hybrid would be sweet but I don't have $30K lying around. I'm leaning toward a Civic, maybe even a hybrid if I go new.

Those are some pretty optimistic numbers. I think I get about 17/24 on a good day.

I have a wagon. It'll get decent mileage if you don't drive the hell out of it. But it's impossible not to drive the hell out of it.

I don't belive this thing is as quick as a wrx, to get a 0-60 time in the 6 second range you need a manual transmission.

No, and like all WRXs, it's invisible to beautiful women as well.

haha... gold digging chickenheads will see Saab and think you've got cake! Little will they know the thing is really a subaru. The rare gearhead chicks will respect ya with the turbo and head snapping acceration.

The Impreza has this issue. The fuel pump starts when you turn the key. If you turn it ALL the way on, it doesn't have time to fully pressurize the line. If you turn it partway, the fuel pump will start then stop. THEN if you turn the key it will start.

It will start on the first turn of the key, IF you make a short pause in the middle.

No big deal, not indicative of reliability issues.

True, a stock STi cannot hang with a Z06, but if you spend the difference between the two, you could modify it to kill a stock Z06.

The Cobalt SS is 21k, 0-60 in 6.1 also, but no, it doesn't have AWD.

Man, I wish it was 7k off a WRX. That would be amazing. It would be nearing 16k!

The deal on the 92x continues (at least) until July 5th. Check out the links in my response below for more information.

On a side note, Fatwallet member user12345/Anandtech "former?" member user1234 posted the following response to one of my posts on Fatwallet.

user12345,

I did find it a little ironic that you came here, joined and took issue with the pricing guide that I provided for the June Saab Promotion. When I was on Anandtech, I noticed that you had not updated your Saab 92x thread since 05/25/2005. All of your information was for the old promotion and thus, was completely out of date.

I took the liberty of updating your thread on Anandtech with the information for June. Guess you were too busy critiquing my figures to update your own. I took care of it for you.

I am not currently a member of Anandtech, and the Anandtech thread is about the May deal not June, and I guess it wasn't updated because Anandtech readers don't care that much about car deals. Just be careful not to confuse Anandtech readrs with mixed information from the May and June deals.

Apparently he is not too certain about my ability to post clearly or about Anandtech members ability to understand. I'm not certain which it is.

Either way, if you are in the market for a sporty, dependable 5 door vehicle, give the Saab 92x a look. It's quite a deal with the current incentives.

Check out the updated information in the Quick Summary (2nd post on Page 1) on FATWALLET for the August deals.

Word has it that there are no more 5 speed Aeros available. Also, for 2006 the Aero will get the 2.5L turbo engine instead of the current 2.0L turbo variety.
