Geiger hiked the displacement of the H2's V8 to 7.0 liters and fitted a belt-driven, intercooled supercharger, as well as high-performance pistons, titanium connecting rods and a precision-balanced crankshaft. The result is a serious boost in torque, to 667 pound-feet, with output climbing to 700 horsepower. Despite its massive size and weight, the Geiger Hummer sprints from zero to 60 mph in less than 6.5 seconds, with its top speed electronically limited to 155 mph.

 So a $24K Legacy GT can outrun this thing and gets like three or four times the mileage? Shoot, all you have to do is run from that ugly POS for a little while and it will run out of gas.

The people who buy this type of vehicle don't care about gas mileage.

More referring to its "practicality" as a police vehicle

Haha, gotta love 700hp to propel that monstrous POS to 60 in over 6 seconds. Only that would scare me is being able to stop all that dead weight.

Even with that horsepower the vehicle will not come close to 155 mph. There is far too much weight and drag to make that possible. I doubt it could go much higher than 100 mph.

Since it has 28" wheels I guess nobody informed them about the negative effects of unsprung weight.

If they actually use it, then they probably don't really care about the gas mileage, since us taxpayers pay for it.

Here in Fargo, there is a D.A.R.E. Corvette that is used.

Edit: Now if you spin out in front of them afterwards they can just drive over you

At least a Vette can actually get reasonable mileage and has SOME practical use

I don't get it, they have a huge gas guzzling SUV that doesn't go that fast, and can no longer go off-road? What's the point, to see how much gas someone can use in a day?
