720P TV, 6ft HDMI cable, can i go cheap ?

So, do i get the 45.99, the 67.99 or the 159.99 HDMI cable ?

a 720P, 37in TV, we're changing the decoder(that had DVI) for a PVR.
There's also that 12.99 cable... should do the trick, right ?

The place i've seen these is an electronics parts store. They don't sell computers. I have bought repeatedly from them over the last 5 years and the only grudge i have with them is that a salesman made a mistake on the lenght of a usb cable included with a HDD enclosure (2ft vs 3ft).

But salesmen at other places, they are good at scaring you...

I hope you are joking, either way grab a cable from monoprice, don't pay retail prices for HDMI cables.

Just buy an HDMI cable from monoprice.com

HDMI Cables pass a digital signal, just 1's and 0's. The only difference between a cheap one and a monster brand one is the jacket and the packaging, oh and the HUGE markup in price. If you don't believe me you should see the prices employees of electronics retailers pay for cables even monster ones vs. what the consumer pays.

Ok ok let's just say i was joking. monoprice would be a little more expensive due shipping (Canada).

EDIT: OMG that cable sdifox linked is actually a cat 2! I know where i'll order when i redo my home theater. Thanks for the adress.

Still cheaper than buying retail I would think. I ordered the 24 gauge from monoprice. The damn thing is so thick I can barely move it around corners, and the weight is dragging down the hdmi ports. I'm starting to regret buying this $15/10 feet cable and went with a cheaper/thinner version for less hassle.

Monoprice or Tartan Cables (the mass produced brand from Blue Jeans Cable).

And yeah, those 24 gauge cables are ridiculously bulky. I wonder if the flat versions are any easier.

no need to pay for expensive shipping for monoprice. The cheapest one is speedy enough for me.

stress relief that cable asap or you might rip out the hdmi port.

I am running one to my projector. It is of course stress relieved and I also have a hdmi port saver on the projector.
