7300GT or 7600GS?????

I play Half Life 2, Doom 3, Quake 4 & etc...........

Which would offer me a decent performce without slowdowns?????
I am currently on the budget, so these are my options....

How about the Radeon X1600 Pro compare to 7300GT & 7600GS????

There's a quick review here, basically, between the 7300GT (DDR2), 7600GS or X1600PRO, the 7600GS comes out best, though the 7300GT DDR2 is close (and better in a few games). Out of the 7300GT DDR2 or the 7600GS, comes down to price IMO. The 7300GT DDR3 offers even better performance, but i'm not sure what availability would be like for you (i've only seen the Gainward/Palit versions, which aren't available in the US...but check for Gigabyte, they offer a DDR3 model too, IIRC)

I have a Leadtek 7300GT 128Mb DDR3 on it's way. Will be here today. I'll run 3D Mark 03 and 05 on it and post my results for you. From all I've read it is very overclockable and will run close to 7600GT(stock) speeds which isn't bad for an $85 card(Newegg).

The card came today. My computer is a home built Athlon 64 3500 running at 2400MHz with 1.5Gig PC3200. The old card was a PNY6200. The Leadtek 7300GT is overclocked to 565MHz core and 1600MHz memory(stock 520 & 1400), 3D Mark 03 gives me 11450 and 05 gives me 4375. These are at 768X1024. Aquamark 3 gives 10215GFX and 9670 CPU. Aquamark reading is 66849. These are decent readings for a 7300 class card. I don't play new games but this card will enable me to run the stuff I run with settings maxed. Good value for under $90 shipped. Overclocked to 600/1600 and gor a 3D Mark 03 of 11800. Very pleased with card. Replaced heatsink compound with OCZ Ultra and lowered temps from 52C to 45C.

i got in on that 58$ 7600gs deal from newegg and at stock speeds i get 10470 on 3dmark03 .

for me im happy with my 58$ investment.

granted 3dfuzion sent me a doa card and i have to rma it and they sent me back a bfg 7600gsoc strange .... im happy tho
