I received the email from BoA and it said I am approved. I will let ya'll know if there is any fees/extra/etc.
Thanks OP.
I also received the email, couple of days later I received my pin# but didn't receive my bank card with it,waiting on that.A little weird how BoA does things but hopefully everything goes through fine.

so how can you prove that the $100 promo existed if they ask?

ok, all, just got off the phone with a Bank of America rep.
1. They changed the promo offer from $100 to $75 cause a lot of people were signing up for this.. make sure you either have a printout of the linked page below or keep promo code AOU2612 written down to get the $100 bux.
Bank of America $100 offer JPG - Bank of America $100 offer PDF
2. Deposit has to be made at a local branch or though the atm, if you do a bank to bank transfer, it won't be accepted, don't know why
3. Deposit has to be made within 30 business days of signing up.
4. No free checks, they cost $25-$40 per pack of 50.
5. Once you get your W9 form and Visa check card, go to the local branch to make the deposit. They will match this 60-days after that. You must have $100 in the account until they do the match. so don't spend it till then.
6. If you already have a savings/checking acct with them, your not eligable. They will check by SSN to verify your a new signup.
7. Someone over at SD said BOA has a lot of hidden fees, so keep an out for this when you get monthly statements, maybe use this as a paypal account only.
8. There is no monthly fee for the MyAccess Checking.
9. No overdraft protection, this is extra.
Hope this helps, btw.. they did a soft hit on my credit report only once.

A ?soft hit? or ?soft inquiry? has no effect on your Credit Score but a ?hard hit? or ?hard inquiry? has exponential effect on your Credit Score. Exponential means that one or two ?hard hits? or ?hard inquiry? over a month will have little effect on your Credit Score. But if there were 5 or 6 ?hard hits? or ?hard inquires? will have a noticeable effect on your Credit Score. This is due to the fact that a ?hard hit? or ?hard inquiry? may signify a new loan and the more ?hard hits? or ?hard inquiry? the more probability that the consumer is in desperate need of a loan. On the other hand many ?soft hits? or ?soft inquires? may suggest that you are financially responsible and lenders may be more than happy to offer you a loan. Credit cards applications are usually soft hits if your fico/credit score is over 700.
Example:
-Getting Auto/Life Insurance Quotes = Soft Hit
-You employer does a background check = Soft Hit
-Purchasing any big ticket item, car/house = Hard Hit
-Taking out a loan over $10,000 = Hard Hit
-Applying for excess life insurance, $1 million or more = Hard Hit
One way i learned to increase my credit score fast is to apply for any online loan from like e-loan and repay it all back in 60days. I did this a few times, really does help.
You want to keep soft pulls to less than 15 a year and hard pulls to less than 5.

Thanks, that's some good info.
And yeah...I just called to check on my account today and they deposited $100! Sweet! (I did the initial bank-to-bank deposit.) I'll probably keep it open for a little while and then close it. $100 definitely helps the poor college students.

I opened my account online with a $100 deposit on 12/31/07, got the bonus on 1/16/08. Withdrew the $200 from a BoA ATM yesterday and sent a message to Customer Service asking them to close my account today. That was an easy $100
