HE DID IT!!!!!! The greatest sports record of all time just fell to possibly the greatest athlete of all time!!!!!!!! Will you remember where you were this night? This ranks right up there with the moon landing, JFKs death, and 9/11 in the sense that you will remember where you were. (no offense to those that lost their lives, just a reference that most will remember where they were)
One of the greatest sports and non-sports related accomplishments of our time (perhaps ever) was just achieved. A lot of people are going to be celebrating this night for a long time. Way to go Barry Bonds. You are a legend and an inspiration to us all.
Oh wait, I know, it's cool and trendy to hate bonds these days so let these posts start from the jealous people that Barry blasted 500 ft home runs on from their favorite pitchers. Sorry if your favorite pitchers ERA is higher because of him. He is just doing his job.

A Rod will pass him--------. If he does, that's great. I like A Rod but he will slow down when he is on a team that can pitch around him and not run into more trouble due to the lineup being stacked.
I am not saying he won't pass bonds though, he's a great player.
Steroids-------. Nothing has been proven. Anyone that gains a few pounds of muscle and strength over a couple years shouldn't be scrutinized for using illegal steroids. Heaven forbid someone works out.
Barry is a Jerk and a douche---------. Sorry, Barry doesn't suck off the Media every chance he gets, get over it. Oh shame on him. Maybe he should begin and end every interview like some BS politically correct athletes:
"I love you all, everything is perfect, thank you, thank you,thank you, I love you and your TV network, everything is
perfect in the world, think of the children, I want to cure hunger and poverty. I like to pet and cuddle cute puppies. I love romantic walks on the beach." I would rather hear someones actual opinion rather than some BS politically correct statement sanctioned by a corporate sponsor. When Barry invites the media to interview him then ignores them and treats them bad......then their is a problem.
If ripping on a great player makes you "fit in and feel like you are in the in crowd" then be my guest. People need to get over their jealousy and appreciate the greatest athlete, achieving the greatest record of all time. Sorry if your childhood favorite player didn't turn out to be the best. Don't take it out on Barry. If baseball were appreciated here like soccer is appreciated in South America we would all be getting a half day off work tomorrow for this monumental achievement.
Barry Bonds is simply the greatest and I hope I can personally thank him one day for being a great and entertaining athlete.
