7600GS or 800GTO

I have been looking at a Powercolor ATI 800GTO and a gigabyte 7600GS (which is passive cooling). As far as I can tell they are about equal in game benchmarks. The GTO I can get for 89 bucks and the 7600 is around 108...both at Newegg. Which would you get? I have been looking at PCIe cards. Is there really a difference from AGP? My system is Asrock 939dual board, AMD x2 3800 cpu, Antec Neopower 480W PSU. Also, will the GTO take up a lot more power which might draw more electricity? thanks.

ps. Should mention that I have ATI 9800 standard card now. Will the above be much of an improvement?

If your Asrock board supports PCI-e, then get a PCI-e card because AGP cards are going extinct and are overpriced. For example, on PCI-e you can get this x850xt for $97 AMR, and it will be much faster than either of the two cards you mentioned, although louder too. If you must have either the x800gto or the 7600gs, they're overall evenly matched in performance, so just pick whichever one is cheaper.

Wow...Thanks for the link to the x850xt I think that is the card........Do you think it will draw the kind of power that will make my lights dim and electric bill to double?

PSU is Antec NeoPower 480W...Just got it a couple days ago from NewEgg. It is modular and has 18A on 2 12V rails.

It should be fine, as long as you dont put the cpu and the video card on the same rail. Not sure how exactly you'd set it up, I use a single rail PSU.

Well I run 2 x 7600gs a 4200+ x2 in my HTPC on just a 240 watt psu so you should be ine
