I run 480/1200 24/7, but I can bench higher... I've ran 495/1210 for several hours of benchmarking.

At 480/1200 I score 7960...

450/1100 is my max
Leadtek 7800GT with regular heatsink (not the fancy one)
Might see about investing in a VGA Silencer sometime, although temps rarely break the 60's.

Same, 3dfuzion 7800GT's, 450/1100 seems to be the "optimized" OC. 3dmark score with one card at 450/1100 was 7710 Both cards at stock (400/1000), 11458.

My XFX 7800 GT is overclocked at 510/1147. I think that's about the absolute limit with the stock cooler. The card still runs incredibly cool even at that overclock. The only time I've every heard the fan spin up to full speed is when Windows first boots.

I've been trying to crack 8000 3dmarks for the last week with this overclock. So far the closest I've come is 7888.

EDIT To avoid any confusion, this post was from before I installed my second card. Overclock and 3dMark score in sig.

I'm surprised you haven't passed 8000. Maybe you should try clocking your memory higher since I have similar specs as you and I broke 8000 at 2.4GHz on my Athlon.

I am at 8210. I've gotten higher by increasing my HTT and decreasing my CPU multiplier, but it isn't as stable. I'm running a Zalman cooler at 5V and my overclock is pretty much the limit though I could try upping the fan to 12V.

EDIT: Forgot my clocks, I'm running at 500/1200 EVGA 7800GT.

l pulled 8199 pc05 marks [ futuremark ] on the fx55 with an x800xtpe and 2 gigs ram...
l pulled 7010 with the dual core 4400+ 7800gtx and 2 gig ram, all ram pc3200, this is with vid card and cpu overclock on both systems, are my scores ok ?
They seem low when l visit futurmark sight , or is that because sooooooo many people overclock with water etc etc ?
l use air.

It seems that I must have got a good sample. Are there any 7800GT COs out there that can OC higher than 510/1200? Does the copper heatsink improve the OCing headroom?

Need more results for:
eVGA 7800GTs w/ last 4 of:

N515
N516
N517
N518

Also, aren't 3D Fuzion VGA cards the same thing as "white box" BFG cards.

Hey Chris, is your athlon oc'ed any ? I have a 3500+ venice oc'd to about 2.5ghz, but I could only oc my card to 470/1100 so im getting
around 7500 3dmark using the performance setting and a little lower using quality.

my max stable overclock is only 463/1230. If i go any higher on the core, games freeze, but dont artifact. My card runs very cool, but its a very poor overclocker.

at 463/1230, i score 7650.

my fx55 is not overclocked its x800xtpe is,
my 4400+ dual is not overclocked, the 7800gtx is but only core from 400 to 430.

if l run pc 05 at 800x600 the score rockets up but at 1024x768 the scores are as above.

No, I keep it stock. I have a 130nm Newcastle core. It topped out at 2.45ghz (11x222) w/ stock cooling on my old MSI K8N Neo2. My new eVGA MOBO doesn't have a temp-monitor utility. And nTune(beta) won't list a CPU temp either. The bios on this board isn't as OCer friendly as DFI, ASUS, Abit, or MSI. I'm planning on getting a X2 4400+ after I get another 7800GT for SLI. But I'm pretty happy with my 3500+ right now.

BTW, good score on your 3DMark05 with your clocks. What brand 7800GT do you own?

Also, I've been watching my temps on my 7800GT. It peaks at 65c OCed @ 510/1200! Maybe with a volt-mod or a bios-edit I can get 550-575! This is far better than my eVGA 6800 Ultra @ 73c.

If you're bold enough, check out NiBiTor v1.6 off of MVKTech and increase the core 3D voltage by 0.1. I tried this with my 6800 Ulta, but haven't tried it with my brand-new 7800GT.

I have an evga gt. I use coolbits to OC so when I go to test the settings any higher then the 470/1100 it fails. Does riva tuner do this also ? Maybe I should try that and see if I can clock higher. Only thing is though that my idle temps are around 46c. Which seems kind of high. Oh and I have the evga sli board to.

Riva Tuner doesn't "test" the overclock settings. Gainward has Xpet Tool too that doesn't run a test either. I haven't used either since I've installed my new card. Coolbits auto detects 515/1210 for me. The auto dectect is normally a good-rule-of-thumb to follow, but sometimes one can get a better overclock with another program.

I've only had the card and mobo for 2 days. I'll explore the bios a bit more this weekend and post my CPU OC, I doubt I'll get much if any more than my Neo2 provided. Even if I'm using AS5 now. I did try a quick OC using nTune that proved to be stable at 11x218 or ~2.4ghz. But I won't run it at this speed 24/7 without a temp-monitor. Has anybody found a windows based temp-monitor that works with eVGA's nForce4 board?

Thats cool. You must've gotten a pretty good card then. At first mine had a problem even at stock settings and evga had to release a new
bios to keep it from artifacting. Anyways im using myguard. It was suggested on the evga forum. You can get it at the jetway site I believe.

I pushed my card to 460/1070 on my stock cooler...but the fan on my stock cooler was maing noise (bad bearings) and so I got a VF700. I forget what I benched, but I think it was 7300 something (may be wrong? Half thought it was 8300 something!) But now with my new cooler, I'm gonna get coolbits again and push it up to 500/1200 (thats my aim at least)

Its an eVGA 7800GT non-CO, running the V2 bios.

OC'ed to 480/1.1 and I scored a 7483 in 3Dmark05...but that seems low compared to some people getting 8,000?! ...oh wait, you used to pay version to get that. Oops.
