You guys jacking off to a video card and "saluting" Nvidia are fvcking worthless.
That is all.
ROFL!!!!1
SH*T... if ATI had done this today everyone would be creaming on their CRT/LCDs so quite acting like it aint a big deal.
And if it isnt a big deal to you, you are in the wrong thread, wrong forum, wrong site.

As is your opinion on the matter. You gotta take it as well as give it.

The card is certainly fast but I'm not convinced that it's quiet.

Nice card, but anyone paying $600 for a video card is a clown.

No facts, but it can be extrapolated fairly easily be looking at the massive power this thing holds.
You can hold me to it if you want too. Fine by me, I guarantee I'm correct in saying this will push UE3.0 with great performance.
I'm enthusiastic cuz this thing without doubt rocks.
If you can match or beat SLI performance with a single card, make it SINGLE SLOT and available today... with 24 pipes you have a first round knockout.

It has actually been released and is quite available... Either that, or newegg is shipping me an empty box right now.The card is no doubt good. But don't start saying it's gonna pwn ATI when it hasn't been released yet.
Actually, I own a 1680x1050 LCD and before that a 1600x1200 CRT, and Doom3 did not run buttery smooth on either of those with a 6800GT. Certainly playable, but it would get dicey at times. The only way to play D3 at those settings smoothly is with dual 6800GT's, and the 7800GTX is less expensive than dual 6800GT's.Bozo
Edit: OK, if you own a Dell 24" LCD, or any monitor with resolution larger than 1600 x 1200, then maybe you can justify $600 for a Video card without being a clown...
Hmm lets see.
Doom 3
2048 x 1536 4X AA
Nvidia Geforce 7800 GTX: 34.9 FPS (Nvidias Next Generation Card)
Ati Radeon X850 XT PE: 26.3 FPS (Atis Last Generation Card
8.3 FPS Faster at Highest Res, Yep thats a umm blowout..... Considering this is Doom III were talking about I wonder whos blown out. Consideirng those numbers I am really looking forward to Atis next card.
Nvidia Geforce 7800 GTX: 34.9 FPS (nVidia's Current Generation Card)
Ati Radeon X850 XT PE: 26.3 FPS (ATI's Current Generation Card)

needless to say I am very, very impressed with this part.
Cool, quiet, SINGLE SLOT, draws LESS power than a 6800 Ultra and is as fast or faster than 6800Ultra SLI.
Yeah, and its available.. bye bye ATI.
I'm sorry, but NV40 was a blowout round for Nvidia and this is even more of a blowout.
I cant imagine the 32pipe card ready for R520 (if it ever even gets here).
Come up with all the excuses you want to hate on Nvidia and their new card, but this card is AMAZING and quiet to boot!
But all arguments are moot because SLI is available TODAY, and the 7800 is for sale TODAY and is the new King after the Geforce6.
I give the luck of the Irish to ATI.. they need it.
