I have a project coming up where 10GbE would make everything much easier. The problem is I just don't see many options out there for low SFP+ port density switches at this point. No room in the budget for a couple of $10K+ switches.
Ideal solution would be a couple of stackable switches with 8 - 12 SFP+ ports.
The most economical solution I've managed to come up with is an EX4200-24T stack wth 2 x SFP+ per switch.
The downsides to this solution are
a) Requires 3 switches for just 6 SFP+ ports.
b) Vast majority of those 1G ports will never be used.
c) Any growth would require an entire switch for a couple more 10GbE ports.
Looking for any suggestions that aren't netgear.
