Really? You couldn't take the time to pull the link and post it instead of just linking to the Slickdeals thread, which, by the way, drives ads and a referral link to the retailer?

implying that 8gb 1333mhz @ 1.5V wasnt the same exact price yesterday?

Not saying it wasn't, nor implying it wasnt, hell why should ANYONE buy ANY tablet ever again for 400+ dollars? I mean after all the touchpad was only 99 dollars last month! :whiste:

It is still a good deal. If you dont want it you dont have to buy it. For someone on an AMD Phenom x4 this would work just fine.

You dont spend too much time on the internet huh?

you dont spend too much time communicating effectively and productively.
your response makes absolutely no sense and is baseless.
ps- I will be ignoring all future replies from you. I choose not to associate with persons who waste my time by making poorly conceived replies to my posts.

I fail to see your point. This is obviously nothing like the touchpad deal. Ram prices have been creeping around this price.

this was in the newegg email, so if you didn't already know about this you've been under a rock. Also, it's 1.65v ram so i'll wait for better stuff.

Bleh, 1.65v DDR3-1333 is out of spec. Wake me up when name-brand JEDEC-spec DDR3 drops to $30 or less, no-rebate.

Edit: Still a good deal, I'm not saying it's not. Just not as good a deal as real JEDEC-spec RAM. Some peeps will like this deal, mostly AMD folks I suppose, or perhaps those with a 45nm Nehalem rig.

Thanks for the post for this deal.

I really appreciate all people that post deals.

It is up to each and everyone of us go go ahead and jump on a deal. I will make the choice on whether the memory is OK for my needs or not.

Flaming anyone just makes us never want to post again. It is Ok to voice an opinion just don´t make that negative criticism only ----- post an even better deal.....if you can find it.

Thanks again!!

Who is to say this RAM isn't JEDEC spec'd? As most enthusiasts know, most RAM, when OC'd beyond JEDEC spec'd speeds, can and does require a bit more voltage to hit said speeds. Certainly Corsair was selling JEDEC spec'd RAM when the i7 920 cpu first hit the market and that RAM required 1.65V to achieve the speeds, such as with their Dominator line.

So, just because this RAM needs 1.65V to hit its max rated speeds doesn't disqualify it from having perfectly good JEDEC spec'd speeds at 1.5V. And even requiring more than 1.5V for that speed doesn't disqualify it from meeting JEDEC standards. There are differences in meaning between recommendations and requirements.

According to JEDEC, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR3_SDRAM#cite_note-1 the maximum recommended voltage is 1.575 volts and should be considered the absolute maximum when memory stability is the foremost consideration, such as in servers or other mission critical devices. In addition, JEDEC states that memory modules must withstand up to 1.975 volts before incurring permanent damage, although they are not required to function correctly at that level.

So, the 1.5V standard for DDR3 RAM is a recommendation, not a requirement, and JEDEC allows, no requires, RAM to work with voltages in excess of 1.9V.

Take some time to read and learn, Larry, before putting your tongue/fingers into gear.
