Zero tolerance created this atmosphere that we have today. Many times, law enforcement has its hands tied with certain issues...I dont agree with it, but its a simple fact. Society created the rules (or at least allowed the rules to be created). Change them or live with it.

Then, upon finding out he touched her breast in truth or dare (no harm no foul, imo), she

went to police and child protection workers

even though he clearly was not distressed by the incident

?He just came right out as if nothing was awry, and just started talking about what had happened.?

I'm not defending the DA, but the mother doesn't present her side very well. Not to mention - what the hell kind of mother lets herself be interviewed on local TV about this sort of stuff? That in itself is reason enough to cause distrust - if not of her truthfulness, then of her judgement.
