This is what I did:
I bought the drive at Best Buy in West Los Angeles for $199. They still had at least six of them as of 8pm. Then, I drove a mile to the Circuit City in Westwood, CA (where I had already checked online that they had it), and bought it for $149. I got the last one on the shelf.
There was no shelf tag! Which of you took it?
Anyway, then I went back to BB and, by showing them the CC receipt, got my price match plus an additional 10% of the difference, as per their guarantee. Tomorrow, I am going back to CC to return the first drive, because, as I will tell them, I got a better deal at BB. I paid tax on the approximate $144 BB price (after price match +10% of the difference), so my final cost is about $82, after the $75 WD/BB rebate. Not as good as the Amex Blue pricematch, though.
The rebate is good through 3/9, so there is still time. It might be a good idea to call your local CC and BB before making the trip. On the other hand, BB has often misled me about inventory, so a trip to BB might still be in order even if they tell you on the phone that they don't have any.
One extra note: BB CS told me the extra 10% of the difference is given only if you have already bought the product from BB and then you find it cheaper elsewhere. If you price-match at the orginal time of purchase, then they won't give you the extra 10%.
