802.11b adapter?

I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 router and I want to get a desktop wireless adapter. I don't particularly care for feature set (what ever might be available), I just want something that will work with this router. Are there any known issues with using other vendor's cards with a linksys router? Thanks!

I have had no problems with Linksys and other brand compatibility. I am currently running and Microsoft MN-500 Wireless router, a Linksys Wireless Gaming Adapter, and an Apple Airport Card. No Compatibility issues. So in short, I have always been tought that 802.11b equipment is pretty much universal when it comes to compatibility. Hope this helps.

I am using a Siemens Speedstream USB wireless adapter. Signal was so so. I took the adapter and placed it near the ceiling.....signal is now GREAT
I think having an antenna helps, and in a better location

What do you mean by :

Too many or not enough ? I would highly recomend sticking with one brand, it helps ensure every thing goes smoothly. Yes, there are standards but standards are like rules, they can be bent.
