80c+ temps on my RX 570 4gb

So, my Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 570 4gb gpu is hitting around 80c+ (maxed out at 84c) while playing The Witcher 3, i even capped my framerates @60 fps (tho I cap my fps @ 60 because my monitor is only 60hz), I also set my graphics settings to medium-high, turned off AA and ambient occlusion.

I don't have this problem with any other gpu demanding games, for example, in GTA V my gpu temps only reaches 63c -70c max (with settings cranked up to high-very high), and my RX 570 is stock, no OC . Is this normal for RX 570 gpus? if not, what solution should I do?

80c is the thermal cut off for the CPU, it is throttling performance.

You have a few options:
verify you have enough case ventilation
increase the fan speed on the GPU
reseat the heatsink with fresh thermal pads*
just accept it**, with a stock BIOS you can let it throttle at 80c and it will be just fine

*thermal pads are nearly always better then paste for GPUs. Paste can work if everything lines up perfectly, but it usually does not.

**I like running my GPUs hot, it allows the fans to spin slower. I ran my vega56 at 80c for my entire Witcher 3 play time (and I should go back sometime and do the expansions).

funny thing is that it doesn't throttle even reaching 84c.
the first two options will probably my safest bet.

I'm by no means an expert but I believe the 500 series gpus had a target temp of 80c so if you're only seeing it go slightly above that target in only one game I wouldn't worry to much about it especially if like you said it isn't throttling.

Case air flow and adjusting your fan speed are good places to start but another option might be something simple like cleaning out the built up dust inside your case. It's easy to do using a Datavac or if you don't want to spend the money on one of those an air compressor with the appropriate attachment will work. Just make sure you keep the fans from spinning to fast so you don't burn up the bearings or sleeve.

I believe the temperature is normal. You can try to disassemble the card, apply thermal paste to memory and GPU
