Regional check from silver spring maryland is OOS on all stores, and gaithersburg, all 3 rockville stores, and silverspring all claim to have none when called directly. List form:

These are going for $150+ on ebay, so its no wonder that they got cleaned out when they were $99.

None around King of Prussia area in PA (Wayne, Norristown and Phoienixville). They did have ANOTHER external 80GB drive for $199.95 but that turned out to be the USB 2.0 drive. I think from what we are seeing is that they are dropping the Firewire drives and staying with USB 2.0.

Just a thought.

I just talked to a manager of a local store, and found out that there aren't any in my entire region - NC, SC, GA, and FL.

Bummer.

Hehehehe - it looks like I'm the only one who got this drive.

I got in NYC - 24th and 6th Avenue store. I gave the Staple worker SKU number and he brought me the drive. My co-worker who came with me lost out because it was the last one. I got mine around 1:00 PM before this post started. [ I saw on hotdealsclub.com ]

Now, I just need Firewire card.
